Retake AUD again now or move on?

    Hey everyone,

I just received my Audit score of 74 on my second attempt. I felt like I had a good grasp on the material but I had a family emergency the week of my exam and wasn’t really able to give it my best attempt. I also have a feeling I bombed the SIMs.

Anyways, I have REG scheduled for April 1st- and I’m not very far through the material, a little behind schedule.

I’m wondering if I should just restudy for Audit instead?

(I cannot study or sit for an exam between April 5th and April 19th, otherwise I would have less of a scheduling dilemma)

I figure these are my options:

    1. Follow through with REG, just wait and do Audit in late May

    2. Cancel REG and retake Audit on the 1st instead

    2. Sit for REG on the 1st just because I already paid, but study to take Audit on the 3rd

    3. Study for REG up until a week before Audit, and then do Audit review and give both of them my best shot

Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!

    FAR 75 (8/21/13)
    AUD 72 (10/29/13) 74 (2/12/14) 84! (04/01/14)
    BEC 75 (11/27/13)
    REG 72 (05/29/14) 74 (07/10/14) 86 and DONE! (10/02/14)

    BEC - 77
    FAR - 78
    REG - 82
    AUD: 61-67-75 (Thanks ninja aud)

Stick with AUD and knock it out April 1st. If you master the material in a couple of weeks start working on a couple of chapters of REG to get ahead. You are going to end up spending ALOT more time relearning things if you end up doing AUD later. I also think one month for REG is not enough anyway.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

@taxman89 sounds like the best option and I don't know why I didn't even have it on my list! I think I'll do that.

And @Study Monk I you are right about one month not being enough

    Thanks 🙂
