    Hi All!

Couple questions, I am a newbie to the site and this is only my second post. I failed BEC by a point in January, and am retaking it on April 25th. I took my busy season of from studying, which was much needed. Having not started to re-study, my question is would 4 weeks be ample time to run through all of the BEC material again? What are the best ways to attack the material again? I was planning on re-reading all of the Becker chapters, make flashcards and crush MC’s.

Also a friend has the 2014 BEC edition, and after flipping through the Corp Gov chapters I noticed some of the acryonms have changed. Anyone familiar with the severity of the year over year change for Becker’s BEC book?

I took BEC 3 times. My original studying I gave myself about 2 months to go over the new material and did not do multiple sets MCs and received a 69. The second time I gave myself a month and reviewed the material in depth and took more notes but did not do multiple sets of MCS and did not improve my grade. The third time I had 8 days to prepare and spent the majority of the time doing MCs over and over again and passed with a 75.

With 4 weeks, I suggest re-reading your notes, review you weak points in more detail, re-write and condense down the key concepts/formulas that you can easily review every day and do MCs over and over and over.

The Key is MC questions. Practice, practice, practice.

    You can do it.

    AUD - 76!
    REG - 66, 78!
    BEC - 69, 69, 75!
    FAR - 70, 73, 79!
    Ethics Test - 98!

I 100% agree with Racergirl on the MCQs. Do as many as you absolutely can. I managed a 75 on BEC the first time with just over two weeks of studying (probably around 40 or so total hours) and I think what prepared me most was the two days of non-stop MCQs immediately before the exam. The AICPA Released Questions are a good resource to have, as well, especially since Becker released explanations for the 2013 questions.
