I recently took 3 sections over the summer, of which I passed 2 and failed 1. I am set to take FAR in October, and then was thinking of retaking AUD in late November. I am thinking of waiting to see if I passed FAR on Nov 4th before getting a new NTS so that I can put both sections on there. Do you guys think that there will be enough time to schedule a retake for the end of november for AUD? When is the last day to take an exam in Q4?

I don't know. When I scheduled my November exams in August most of the end of November appointments were already full. You might be better off to just schedule now. What is it like $50 you will save? I don't think that is worth it to possibly not have an appointment. And why are you planning to fail FAR? Plan to pass it.

I think there would probably be enough time to schedule. If you took the test on 10/18 you would have about 3 weeks to schedule your test after results/new NTS. Of course being near the end of a testing window, the dates are going to fill. You'll have to decide if the difference in price of 1 vs 2 NTS and the possibility of getting it too close to the end of window is worth it to you.

Another factor is the number of testing centers in your area. Do you have more options if your normal center is full?

You can check the seat availability on Prometric's website without a section ID. For example, my normal testing center has availability on Sunday, Nov 30.

Thank you for the answers guys, I will have faith in myself and plan to pass FAR the first time, that way I can just apply for my AUD NTS soon and secure a testing spot towards the end of the window.
