    Hello Guys,

I am going to pursue MSA from one of the universities in SF bay area. Can you please help me with that?.I am still kind of confuse about selecting the school which has good recruitment policy. I tried to get the admission from SJSU but there are so many complications to get into it. Would you please suggest the schools which Big 4 do recruit? Thanks!

GGU, SCU, & SJSU. Those are the 3 bay area universities that I can think of that my firm (big 4) recruit heavily from.

    Good luck!

I have read posts where people from GGU claim high recruitment rates for the MST, but not so much for the MSA. The MSA will run you 8k more @GGU than the state colleges. I am thinking about the MSA online offered at Sacramento State, and going to Bay Area job fairs as affiliate.

“U.S. News and World Report has ranked Sacramento State’s online Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program 75th in the nation out of 236 similar programs. It’s also ranked second among the 23 California State University campuses.”-quote from their website

I think San Diego state is #1

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I went to SF State, at the time I think KPMG came to one fair and PWC came to another, GT was there; I did pavement pounding to get interviews with the other Big4, which worked but a big pain. I would find online or request an attendance list of participants of each school's most recent “Meet the Firms” or whatever the particular school is calling their accounting fair.

My firm recruits from the SCU CAAP (certified advanced accountancy program) and their MBA program as well.

Very interesting discussion! I've been looking for a good Univ to start a graduate degree in Accounting in the Bay Area. I'm on H4. Are the one's mentioned by megasaurus (GGU, SCU, & SJSU) my best bets? Any feedback about the CSUEB would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
