Study time comparatively

    I know study time questions have been done before but I wanted to ask the question in a different way. I wanted to get everyone’s take on study times by comparing each test to one another by using a baseline, which will be FAR in this case since we can all agree it has the most material.

    So lets say FAR is a 1.0. What would REG, AUD and BEC be in comparison? For example if you say REG is 0.8, then you think you need about 80% of the time it took to prepare for FAR, to prepare for REG. I think this is the best way for everyone to get an idea of study times for each section since everyone works at a different pace. It would nice if everyone could give 4 numbers with Far always being 1.0

    Thanks everyone!

    Hm, this is an interesting way of asking. I would say that for me, it was:

    FAR= 1.0 (200 hours)

    REG= .9 (180 hours)

    AUD= .75 (150 hours)

    BEC= .7 (140 hours)

    Those are rough estimates since I had to retake FAR, REG, and AUD. Hope this helps a little bit.

    FAR: 65, 77!
    AUD: 72, 72, 80!
    REG: 64, 84!
    BEC: 83!
    Ethics: 98!

    I'm curious, to the people saying it takes over 100 hours per section, are you actually timing it? Well recently, I've decided to time it myself just to see how useful it is. However, I'm going with “Undistracted” hours. Plus, I'm planning a break every 4 hours because someone claim that the brain just shuts off and you won't be absorbing that much stuff.

    FAR - 62 (10/2/13), 50 (5/30/14)
    AUD - 73 (10/30/13), 66 (5/6/14)
    REG - 69 (4/8/14)
    BEC - 66 (2/27/13), 73 (4/21/14)

    It's not hard to give an estimate on hours. I am planning 9 weeks for AUD working full time, I approximate between 15-20 hours each week (so 17.5 X 9) = 158. That may seem rough but i bet it will be pretty accurate.

    @K_Reib – Thanks! That is kinda what i'm thinking

    I have taken Reg and FAR I'm trying to gauge time I need for AUD and BEC. I'm hoping people say like 0.6-0.7 range for AUD and BEC

    I spent 230 on FAR (probably overkill). 150 hours on AUD. Planning about 160-170 for BEC.

    FAR 12/3/14, 87
    AUD 2/3/14, 90
    BEC 4/1/14, 88
    REG 5/27/14, 94

    FAR 1.0 (120 Hours)

    REG .9 (110 Hours)

    AUD .8 (90 hours)

    BEC .5 (60 Hours)

    It all depends on what your knowledge and experience is like. I know some people hate BEC, but I found it less challenging that the other sections.
