I just started studying for audit and I’m starting to get overwhelmed with all the different types of reports. From what I’m seeing so far, theres a lot of questions about “what should be included” in different types of reports and “what not to include”…..

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to study all these different types of reports? My only thought is to memorize all of them…word by word….gosh that would take FOREVER!!!! ughhhhhhh Any thoughts?

Definitely know the difference because they might ask on the MC questions. If you have report questions on one of the simulations and if you are not 100% sure, I would use the research tab and look for the report type from AU / AT / AR / PCAOB. However, in order for you to check the answer, you should have enough time on your simulations. I had around 2 hrs for the simulations and I was able find some answers from research author.

    Good luck!

That is what I am doing right now! It is overwhelming at first but as the days go by and the weeks it all comes together. What you might want to do it get a standard report and make like a scale, an if this then that type of thing. It works for you to see it. Just take it one step at a time and it will all start to come together.

    Good Luck!

I cant wait for this to be over.

I used Becker which has a nice breakdown of the reasons for not issuing an unqualified report, the type of report that would be issued, and where the verbiage would go in the report. I wrote out a table with all this info. I first memorized the standard report and then memorized the table.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

Becker does a great job with AUD. I supplemented with Wiley test bank, but wouldve been fine with Becker alone. It might not click the first time through, but it will eventually

    BEC - 86
    AUD - 94
    REG - 88
    FAR - 89
