I’m in the middle of studying for Reg, and I have to fly out of town this weekend for a family wedding. I wanted to study on the plane flying there and back, but I use Becker self study. Is there a way to use that while in fight without using wifi? Sorry if this is a stupid questions.

Yeah, do you have the Becker app or will you be using a laptop? If you have the app, just make sure you go in and download all the lectures/homework you want to work on in flight, and then you'll be able to use them in airplane mode. If you're using a laptop, as long as you use the application and not the website portal, and you've previously downloaded the material, you're good to go. You just won't be able to sync your info until you're reconnected to wifi.

I travel for work a lot…I don't like using the in-flight wifi…it's too slow. I typically print out the lessons I'm going to study, listen to Ninja Audio, or bring my stack of flashcards

I also found the wifi too slow. I took my Becker book and just studied from there, while flying.

I was hoping to use my lap top just because its easier for me to do mcq's on it, but it sounds like my best bet is using the app in flight and then using my lap top during down time throughout the weekend.

I don't see why you can't use your laptop for MCQ on the flight. It's not like you need that instantaneous syncing, do you? I've done MCQ offline and synced with no problem.

Yeah, do you have Becker installed on your computer? Then you don't need wifi. Try turning the wifi off on your computer, and then checking to see if you can still open the lectures/MCQs. That will tell you if you've got them downloaded and ready to go! (Can do the same with the app too)

Yeah, as long as you download the Becker software onto the Laptop (and the download all the lectures you need etc) beforehand, instead of using a web browser to access the contents, you can access all material offline.

Just echoing what everyone else has said, really – if you have the desktop version of the Becker software, you don't need an internet connection at all. I didn't even realize you could do everything online (without the downloaded software) until I started studying for BEC.
