I have heard of people only working 2 or 3 days a week until they pass. I would not be able to do this because my firm is more interested in me getting experience at the firm and working then me getting my CPA. However, I have thought about the idea of taking maybe the day or week before my exam off, but not sure what my firm will say. Has anyone done this?

I work for a small 7-person firm with 2 partners, 1 other CPA, 3 staff accountants including myself, and the admin assistant. I am taking FAR Oct 2 for the 2nd try and would really like to pass (need FAR(69), AUD(74), and REG(72) by may 22). We are steadily busy with audits during this time.
