I am currently in my review stage to sit for REG this coming Saturday (5/28). It is my last section and I am beyond ready to be done. I lose FAR on July 5, so I am hoping for the best.

I just wanted to say thank you to all the candidates in this forum that post their scores, particularly their failed scores and how many times they have taken a section. It may seem discouraging to post that publicly, but I find it incredibly encouraging. I have been very fortunate to have passed my first three sections on the first try, and am finding REG particularly challenging. Whenever I get discouraged and I’m on here looking for advice or help, I find myself being encouraged by the pure resilience of this community and the ability to rally behind complete strangers and have a never give up attitude, no matter how challenging it is. It gives me a sense of peace to know that even if I do fail, it’s not the end of the world and I can pick myself up and finish the job in early July before I lose FAR.

Good luck to everyone out there!

GOOD LUCK on Saturday! I am taking Reg on Friday- and I have to agree – I get my (i am sure failing) FAR score tomorrow and fully plan on posting as I have gotten so much encouragement out of seeing all of those who have failed and keep on until they pass. One of the hardest things about this exam is the lack of “real life support” you get from family and friends because no one understands how small the passage rates are, the dedication and determination it takes to get a pass, and the difficulty and sheer amount of material that one has to master. It is hard enough to hear “I don't understand why you didn't pass” or “Im sure you will pass” – I just can't even imagine the discouragement I would feel if l logged on to a group to only seeing passing scores as well. I take so much away from everyone who has the guts enough to fail this thing and keep going and I cheer as hard as they do when they finally get that pass…

And they ask me why I drink

    BEC 71, 82
    AUD 75
    REG 75
    FAR 61, 69, 83

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

I was horrified and embarrassed at my scores at first. I failed my first three attempts and continued to have failures throughout my journey. It turned out to be not all bad however. It turned out to be a display of resilience , particularly for my young kids.

I was in your exact position except i failed a few times. My BEC score was set to expire in February 2016. I sat for the retake of my last exam FAR at the end of November 2015. Had I failed I would have had one more shot in January before BEC would have expired. The fear of having BEC expire was overwhelming because REG would have expired shortly after in April , and tax season would have been in effect. It was that fear that propelled me to hit the books hard.

Best of luck to you!! You are doing great passing 3 on your first try.

mckan, I am so thankful for this forum and the support. I made the dumbest mistake by telling my family when I am taking the exam and now they keep asking when my scores are coming out and I said I am not sure so they would stop asking. When I failed AUD I told one of my cousin and she even told me to quit, maybe I am not cut out for accounting and perhaps to switch career path if I fail FAR (second exam). I was so discourage but I turned to the forum and friends who are on similar paths and now I have learned just to block their comments out. I do not need the added stress on top of the studying. As long I tried my best I will keep going until I see that 75! Best of luck to all of you.

@justwanttofinish wow, I thought I was the only one that thought that about people's scores. I agree it does give you a sense of encouragement for your own journey and I feel proud to be among this group of people that will go through all these failures, never give up and eventually pass. I just took REG and although I'm hopeful if I did fail I know that I will be back at it again…even if I lose FAR in August. Good luck to you on your REG exam and all those are awaiting their scores tomorrow!!

@trele6, I have them there now haha. I just created my account yesterday and when I posted this hadn't figured out how to update the signature. Was trying to not let myself procrastinate too much.
