To little to late? … REG

So I set an ambitious goal to study for Reg in a 4 weeks. I started strong and then issues at work kept me late night after night. I am 90% of the way through the tax material but have only taken about 5% of the quizzes (quizzes in CPA excel regarding Assets). .

Is it possible to eek out a 75? Am I doomed!? Should I just nail down tax MC all weekend. Or should I just reread the tax material today and then move to business law over the weekend?!!? if it wasn’t so close to the exam I would reschedule – but I’m pretty sure at this point I would forfeit my money anyways. So the worst that happens is I have to retake in January after a little more prep

I did it in 4 weeks with a few hiccups here and there. Just buckle down. Jeff's notes for the last part were a God send, it summarized all the tax items I couldn't keep straight in my mind and I pounded out MCQ's for the last few days until I understood everyone I missed.

If you need to skim BLAW, make sure you clearly know the 1933/1934 acts and probably quickly go over agents/surety/bankruptcy and State boards of accounting. Most of my non-tax test questions came from those areas.

@Determined0625 thank you for the words of encouragement! i am going to hit the MC hard the next day and a half and see where I stand. When you say Jeff's notes is that the just the regular Ninja notes? Or is there some sort of cram notes that I need (which I feel like would probably be the case since I have such a little amount of time to go)

@trele6 thanks! i would like to skim it all – time permitting in the next three and a half days – but if not i will definitely at least read over those sections as well as the ones that have the most MC questions in cpaEXCEL (I naturally equate lots of questions = should know for exam).

Thanks again! Now back to studying 🙂

Lots of little details unfortunately on the 1933/1934 acts.. They take some time to get straight. Things like Rule 10-b or section 11 etc. Regulation D… need to know those it will more than likely be on your test.

@trele6 definitely appreciate the info – but be mindful of the detail you provide. You don't want to violate any of the disclosure agreements of the exam or board.

Just his notes.. I started getting confused with partnership vs estate vs corps, etc. So I printed his notes for those sections and it summarized it much better for me to keep straight.
And yes the 33 & 34 acts are important as well.. just hammer MCQ's you'll get it straight in your head. It worked for me especially with the wording of those.

I haven't posted or said anything that wasn't abundantly made clear in my Becker study videos. Mr. Olinto clearly states over and over again that those are the most commonly tested items on the CPA exam and that you need to know the fine details of each.

@trele6 I see what you are saying. I might just be a little uptight with disclosure and unclear about what divulges too much. I just didn't want you to get reprimanded for helping me out!! — thanks again for all the responses.
