    NINJA Question –

I studied from Aug to Nov for AUD and felt confident. I never thought I would fail at anything. I think the simulations killed me as Gleim is very weak on those. My score report also showed weak on those.

I already have Gleim for AUD and REG. What Ninja products should I purchase as supplement? Questions and Sims or an entire course? I have the money for it.

My plan was to take REG in February. I think I will keep my REG appointment, then come back to AUD as I should pick it back up. I aced my Audit class and still think it was the simulations that ruined everything. Thank you.

I used Ninja notes and Ninja audio when I took AUD. I listened to the ninja audio as often as possible and I studied the ninja notes as much as possible, dding my own little notes in the margins. I also rewrote the ninja notes + my notes once before the exam. I liked the Ninja MCQ for REG. If you let the adaptive learning do it's thing then it will focus on your weak areas and make you face them until you get it. I don't get much out of videos so the blitz didn't do much for me, with the exception of a few areas like deferred taxes for FAR that made more sense with a visual. If you have the money I say buy them all for all 4 parts and incorporate them into what you are already using. You may want to use the MCQ as your primary source of testing and only use Gleim for reinforcement. Ninja has A TON of SIMS to practice. The other thing with AUD that a lot of people don't realize is that you should use the AL to search for answers to every SIM, not just the research ones. You can find entire answers for other questions on there during the test.

I worked over 4,000 NINJA MCQ for AUD. Took a long time, but worked well. Best of luck.

How many MCQ is there per part? To do 4,000 mcq just for AUD is awesome. Was there even more you could have done? I am studying for AUD right now.

I think NINJA MCQ is a total of 5,000+ individual questions. I never studied SIMS other than the research ones. Also – I read the full BISK book for each section and took detailed notes. Read book – take notes – do thousands of MCQ – that's my advice. I didn't pass each with a huge margin, but I passed. Good luck.

CPAmom and cmyers, thank you for your help. I will probably buy the MCQ and Notes for AUD and REG, and buy the entire system for the other 2 parts. I'm still in shock I didn't pass (by a measly point), but looking at the other boards it looks like most people have to repeat a section.

I used Ninja MCQ and audio for FAR. The audio was nice because I could listen in the car.

I'd recommend Ninja audio and MCQs. I loved Ninja's sims (as much as anyone can love sims…). I felt more prepared for the exams that I had used Ninja MCQs and sims in my review.

Get the audio. Play the audio in your car on your commute every day.

All of Jeff's products are good. The MCQ software is friendlier than the Becker software I used, but a fair amount of the questions are repeats as they are AICPA released former questions. The notes are very good if you don't want to take your own, but I used Becker's chapter outlines as the basis for my notes and supplemented any extra information from the lectures. I like the Blitz as well, but it's basically the audio paired with a powerpoint.

You may hate to hear it, but I've heard from a lot of places that the theory regarding a 74 is you passed the exam, but they decided they've met their quota on pass rate for that window. All depends if you believe the pass rates are driven by the number who pass or if the pass rates drive the number who pass.

@CPleaseA I've been curious about purchasing Jeffs audio for BEC (and my REG retake), especially when it comes to the audit travel. What could be better than sitting in traffic reviewing cost accounting? 😀

@blackhawks – I thought the audio on the commute was very good for conceptual items such as business law and audit. Once it got to formulas it was more difficult to track as you are dodging cars. I passed BEC right away before I knew much about Ninja products, but I'd have to imagine driving and listening would be fine with things like econ and IT, cost accounting might not work as well (but I'm more of a visual learner with formulas).

As for audit travel, it would be great paired with that. Before I learned about the audio, I used to run the Becker FAR lectures on my laptop as I was driving to clients. (Back when Becker was CD based). Jeff's audio through my car's USB drive blew that method out of the water.

Thank you to all of you for your help. I will buy the Ninja Notes and MCQs for AUD and REG as soon as they come out for 2015. I don't think I would benefit from the audio as I am a visual learner.

@Cpleasea – I would hate to think they use quotas. My friend took the same test and also got a 74. We were like, what the heck?

@kick – I am in CA and my score report was available online on Monday.
