Anyone do the same? Bombed one sim completely, maybe missed 30 percent of another, 50 of another, and 40 of another…prob failed.

I never do that because what's done is done. There's no point because you can't change the past.

Best case scenario, you check the questions and get them right and it gets your hopes up. If you fail, you'll be that much more disappointed. If you pass, you'll feel like it was expected anyway.

If you check and get the questions wrong, you'll just be depressed as hell for the next few weeks until you get your score back.

    Just my opinion.

By the time I leave the testing center, I can barely remember my name, much less any of the questions that were on the exam. I think I get so focused and concentrate so hard on the exam, coupled with the sensory deprivation from being in the cubicle with the sound blocking headphones on, that I am totally brain dead when I get back in my car. I also feel that there is nothing to be gained by looking anything up. Either I passed and I move on, or I failed and I start studying again, there is no need to beat myself over any questions I might have missed.

@mwhitstult – great AUDIT score. I see Ninja MCQ helped you gain 26 points! Aside from using Ninja and it being your 3rd stab at Audit, what did you differently while studying? I'm struggling big time with the SIMs… averaging 60s, but doing pretty well with MCQs, low 80s.

Thank you Claudia408, I have learned a lot about what studying techniques work for me since I started my CPA Journey. I got a 72 on my first try at audit and didn't put enough effort into my retake and my score reflects that. The 3rd time I did about 2000 or so Ninja MCQ's but didn't work any SIMS. I figured that If I got a good grasp of the concepts by doing lots of MCQ's that the sims would come naturally…and that's what happened. By doing lots of MCQ's, I felt like I was totally prepared for the exam.

I take BEC on Monday and I've been working Ninja MCQ's for the past 4 weeks or so…50-60/day during the week and about 100/day on weekends. I hope to knock out 300-400 more this weekend. I feel pretty comfortable with most of the material except for Cost Accounting which has ALWAYS been my nemesis.

See this is where you guys made a mistake. Rather than start drinking after the exam to forget about it, you guys have to go and get stressed out and look up answers.

I took Reg in May and got a 73. I studied all the stuff I thought I got wrong. I took Reg again last week and NONE of the subjects I studied were on the exam. Some of the questions on the exam were so specific that I had to go to several sources to figure out the correct answer.

    @cpanj22

I'm in the same boat. I think that I got the research question right, about 70% on one and then about the same as you on the rest of the SIMS. Let's just hope that the one that we completely bombed is a pretest question, which I would think it would be because it came out of left field? I keep reading about people that think that they bombed the REG SIMS and ended up passing.

    REG – 7/10/15

    BEC – 8/31/15

FAR – ? depends on if I passed REG

    AUD – ?

    FAR - 67, 69, retake: Oct 2016
    AUD - 8/25/16

Yeah I was keep remembering questions and wrong answers for at least a week after the test. It was giving me so much anxiety so I had to list them all, there were like 13 or so. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night and remember the question I got wrong. I had it worst with reg that's for sure

Nope…I go home and start working on a 12 pack. Looking up the answers won't change what I did on the test.
