I just took AUD the other day and when I got to the SIMS I was a bit surprised to see basically two of them ask me to do Adjusting/Correcting Journal Entries — but luckily I had just studied for and passed FAR recently otherwise I probably would of left them blank. I guess it makes sense, as an auditor or during an audit you would have to propose those correcting entries to management, but it just wasnt something that was actually covered at all in the Becker material.

I have seen a few posters state that some of the audit SIMs contain FAR material. I did have one or two that required some journal entries, but they were pretty basic. I think if you are a typical CPA candidate (with an accounting degree), you won't be asked to do anything in audit you don't remember from your coursework. If you do not have an accounting background, then you may be better off taking FAR first.

    Your comments appreciated .

Well frankly i am on the mid way of AUD preparation . Do you think its worth to change switch AUD and FAR . I mean Give FAR first and aud next ?

If its just 1 or 2 basic questions then i hope i can manage .

    What do you say ?

I did AUD before FAR and came out fine. Some people say you're only “hurting yourself” if you do AUD before FAR, but for me it wasn't the case. At the end of the day, I had a sim with JE's in AUD, but it was so obscure that even if I studied for FAR, I would not have gotten it. (Most likely pretest Sim..)

You're already halfway through AUD, I would say finish it off. Especially if you're looking to test during Q2.

I'll 2nd club300's suggestion in that you should stick with AUD. If you're halfway through it would probably be more beneficial to stick with it. Journal entries is the only part I would look over for AUD just in case you get a sim(s) about error correction. I passed AUD before FAR. Ideally I should have taken FAR first but you can survive without it if you brush up on journal entries.

    BEC x1 - Passed
    REG x2 - Passed
    Audit x1 - Passed
    FAR x2 - Passed

    BEC: ☑ x1 attempt(s)
    REG: ☑ x2 ''
    AUD: ☑ x1 ''
    FAR: ☑ x2 ''

    Done!

    Awesome .

Well to be frank , I never had problem with any journal entries , I don't know how but i can figure out the entries any time with out revision .

I just skimmed FAR with a fast scroll and looked at the points which had a link to AUD and i wasn't aware of .

My exam is on 16th of this month and hopefully i finish my AUD in time .

Honestly , Thank you for your comments . Some times it really helps when some one says what we want to listen . I wasn't going to change the exam anyways but give a sort of confidence . Really helped . Thank you
