Hi all,

I’ve been in public accounting for 4 years and I’m ready to move on to private company. While I’m preparing for interviews, I’m worry if the interview ask the following question: how do you connect/translate public accounting to doing accounting for a company?

How would you answer since as an auditor, we deal more in financial reporting and control work? Thanks!

I do not have public accounting experience and am now working @ F100 as a corporate accountant.

We do quarterly/annually SEC/Reg reporting and they are always controls in placed.

Your financial reporting, control works, and other experiences are skill sets that are transferable to the industry.
