Way off topic… Where do you vacation?

    Amidst my procrastination, I thought it would be a good idea to look at some all-inclusives in the Caribbean for when tax season ends. Got my eye on the Dominican Republic and a nice relaxing getaway for a few days. Any recommendations? Anyone have a website that they would use for something like this? I’ve been browsing through bookit.com.

    I just did a humanitarian trip in Honduras and spent 8 days there.

    We drilled a water well for a village school and it was hard work but an amazing trip.

    I felt more rested after a week of that than any vacation I've been on ironically.

    Just something to consider if you're looking for a change of pace.

    @Ashley H

    I wish I could go to Paris. After seeing “Midnight in Paris”, I've been dreaming about going there and meeting a beautiful Parisian babe, the way Owen Wilson did. Imagine sipping on some Cabernet Sauvignon, eating delicious food, and taking in all the culture while it rains. A guy can dream, right? I'll probably use some vacation time after busy season to sleep. Don't think I'll have enough money to go anywhere meaningful. *Sigh* Maybe next year…

    Anyway, enjoy your trip!

    @littlenumberrobot & @FearTheBeard someday you guys will get to go!! I used miles for part of the ticket and then I am using some points from a credit card I have (travel card) to book half the hotel stays. I just moved for my job where housing is so cheap so that really helps! I got a decent studio for $350/month! I'm going with my boyfriend and I'm so freaking excited! Paris in the spring time… 🙂

    @Ashley – Sounds awesome! France is a cool country, and I've heard wonderful things about London as well. I just spent the past 2 months working in Barcelona and loved every second of it! If you get a chance, you must visit there. Barcelona is an incredible city!
