What are good scores for AUD Becker final Exams before taking the Real Thing?

So I take audit this coming Monday and I am not sure where I stand. I have been working an unlimited amount of MC’s (which I believe I understand) however after doing all of the MC’s all week, I recently took the two simulated exams and received the following scores: T1%’s 66,60,70 T2% 73,60,76

Should I be worried? after reading many posts, I decided to skip working the SIMS (well, I have looked them over but not put as much relevance) is this good? Any last minute advice?

I am Using Becker and supplementing with Lamber’s “test prep” software (did 900+ questions repetitively all week.) Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what good scores are as i'm taking the exam on Monday as well so i'm bumping this topic with hopes that those with some experience will post. My scores for the Becker Audit Practice Exam #1 are:

    Testlet #1 – 96%

    Testlet #2 – 86%

    Testlet #3 – 93%

    Simulations:

    Risk Tab – 80%

    Internal Control Tab – 100%

    Tickmarks Tab – 100%

    Statistical Sampling Tab – 90%

Comparative Financial Statements Tab – 87%

    Government Auditing Tab – 80%

    Research Tab – 100%

Gonna restudy my weak areas and take the second final exam later tonight. Even though i've scored well I feel like i'm not going to pass but maybe i'm just being too paranoid.

Usually people get 10-20pts higher on real exam compared to the Becker final exam!

I don't know how true that holds, but I would suggest doing those final exams couple times until you are getting 80 or above! It wouldn't hurt to do some SIMS either…sometimes I pick little details while doing those that I wouldn't have learned from MCQs.

I think you'll both do well on the exams, just keep doing more MCQs/SIMs until the exam day! Good Luck!

So, I recently scored 85 on the actual exam. I actually used Roger and Wiley to study – but had previously purchased 2011 Becker materials… and due to my annoyance with Gearty, I only used it for extra MCQ and Final Exams.

    Becker Test 1

    80, 86, 73

    Becker Test 2

    90, 70, 83

    REG - passed (expires 5/13)
    AUD - passed
    FAR - passed
    BEC - passed 4/17

    DONE!!!

I averaged a 68 on the first Becker Final Exam for AUD and a 63 on the second exam. I ended up with an 84 on the actual exam. Just make sure you know how to utilize the research tab on the sims.

    BEC - Feb 2012: 80
    AUD - Feb 2012: 84
    FAR - Apr 2012: 78
    REG - May 2012: 90

    Thanks Becker!

Didn't do quite as well on the second one, scores were: 67, 76, 86.

Now my confidence is gone 🙁

Well, I finished taking the exam. I thought the multiple-choice went well but the simulations were crazy hard. I'd never seen anything like them in Becker before. I tried to use the Authoritative literature tab as much as possible but frankly I don't feel like I did that well. Here's hoping I get lucky!

I took the AUD exam this past Feb and got a 74. It sucked. My pre exams scores were 50-70% on the Becker pre test. On my score report I scored well above average on multiple choice but really must have bombed the TBS. Focus on those BIG TIME. As for AUD they are a pain.

I was scoring an average of the 65 on Becker's practice exams and got a 74.

The second time through the material I was scoring an average of 75 and got an 83.

Definitely review your weak areas and KNOW THE OPINIONS.

How did you guys do using the Wiley MC? Do people usually get 10-20pts more on that as well?

    Far 7/30/12 74, 74, 75
    Bec 11/11/12 74, 78

@Mikey89 that would be good to hear…i only used Becker for the exam. I would use Wiley but my job doesnt pay for it. They do for CMA candidates but not CPAs.

I generally scored 70 – 75% in Wiley test bank for AUD. I scored 77% on the Wiley final exam. 85 actual.

    REG - passed (expires 5/13)
    AUD - passed
    FAR - passed
    BEC - passed 4/17

    DONE!!!

I would conservatively assume you will score 10 pts higher with AUD. I would say you are ok with MCs (probably looking at around ~76-80). Make sure you focus on SIMS as those are going to make or break you passing the exam.

Using Becker, Ninja Notes, and CpaReviewForFree

    FAR - 87 (2/17)
    REG - 89 (4/21)
    AUD - 89 (5/31)
    BEC - 89 (7/11)

I posted on another thread about my scores before I saw this one. I scored 83, 80, 76 for Final Exam 1 in Becker and for the sims I averaged an 83 overall. I got a 60 on the government one, though! That was with absolutely no reviewing, though. I'm planning to review a ton then take the 2nd practice test next week.

Anyway, I always hear that the sims are completely different on the actual exam. I know you can't disclose exactly how, but I'm confused as to how they can be so different! The practice sims seem to cover all the topics. Are they just in a different format? Any info you guys can give as to how to prepare for sims without breaking the rules would be great! And do you guys think I'm okay to take the exam next week based on my practice scores? I'm very nervous about this one. Didn't put in near the hours I did for BEC.

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

I've taken 3 parts, passed all three, and since studying for the first exam I don't even bother with those Becker final exams anymore. If you take the simulated exam, where they randomly generate 100 MCQ, I was getting between 90-95% correct and ended up w/ a 90 on the actual exam.

    REG - 75
    BEC - 82
    AUD - 90
    FAR - 7/20/12
