I'm betting there aren't 2 people here older than me LOL. I only actually know of one.
But I am 42.

I am 32 as of today!

Happy Birthday MyLife!
I am 47. Trying to decide if I should pursue the CPA in 2012 or let it go. Undergrad is in accounting and have an MBA, but CPA has been a dream (or nightmare :-)) of mine for years.
Thanks Jeff!

And I have to say I never thought I would actually go forward with getting my CPA. I was always a B-C kid in college and accounting wasn't my personal favorite but I have to say I am glad it is a requirement for my job so I HAVE to get it done now. I can't imagine studying later in life when I have kids and other large obligations, but power to those who are!
Happy Birthday MyLifeIsCPA! Hope you are relaxing today!
28, but married with 2 kids. Does that really make me 38?
Just turned 22 - Very fresh out of college - I am also glad the CPA is required for my job, otherwise I probably would've waited a couple of years to start this process.
If Mini's 28+2 kids = 38 ...
That means I can start drawing Social Security :)
38, but I don't look a day over 37!!
Happy B-day MyLife!!!!
I'm 30! I have undergrad and graduate in Accounting. I may as well add icing to the cake with a CPA!
@miniminority if 28+2= 38, then that makes me 30+3=45...whoa....
I'm 33, married with 2 kids.....according to mini's adding then I'm 43. Come on CPA in 2012!!!!
Happy Birthday Mylife!!!!
32 & 11/12ths Yes, I have a tax season birthday...Yay!

@ Mylife
Happy Birthday! <:o)
I'm 31. But my background is different -- I've been in the US for 4 years only.
I'd have gone after the CPA straight after college, if I were any of you guys :)
I am 35 married with 3 kids, you can do the math according to mini's adding ;) Graduate in Accounting and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
CPA turned to be a rosy dream of m life....
I used to think Mini was a decent guy but since he just bumped me up to social security age, not so much.
24
36 but I act like 6!
@David - C'mon, give yourself a little credit. You act like a very grown-up 9 year old.
@mIa - I heart you too.
interesting thread : ) ......but don't want to post my age since it will skew(increase) the avg. #, haha
Gotta love this thread...I am the semi-dreaded 3-0 with two kids (8 and 3) ;) I swear this CPA process has aged me more than having my rambunctious boys :)
23 (But, like David, I act like a 12 year old)
33, but no wife and no kids so I might as well be 23
I'm physically 23, but mentally like a 3 yr-old. :'(
***so with no wife and no kids--I'm 13 according to Makingthemagic...
I turned 27 last month. I would have done this exam right outta college but it took me a couple years to get to the 150-credit mark. I am halfway to my Master's while working full time since I graduated from college in 2007.
The question now should be: who has met the 150 hr requirement? I'm in FL and I only have 139 so far...
@MylifeisCPA----HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
~~~~~~~
Guess I am the oldest on this thread so far........ (mla1169, not sure if I was who you were thinking of or not!) at a big whopping 48!!!
Wasn't there someone on the score release thread who was in his/her 60's?
Anyhow, age is just a number, and no one here is old!! I have a very youthful great-aunt who is much older in years but so young-spirited! Unfortunately her memory's not the same, though.
48 is NOT old....old when you get free coffee @ McDondals...then you'll know you're old..lol..just kidding
Just turned 30 in November. My wife cried on her 30th. Not me. Only difference was that I input a different age on the eliptical to track calories and heartrate. My zone for fatburn is lower! Definitely a perk. I love the 30's. I get a little more respect now that I'm in the club. Still have most of my hair and am looking forward to a little grey to start showing. Then it's on. No "Just for Men" for me. Bring on the hot dad look. Or something like that.
i have like 148.67 units or something like that. Fortunately, I'm in CA and can take pathway 1 with my two years of experience. phew.
why aren't there that many pple in the 21-24 age range when they normally get their degree???? did you guys get your gf pregnant or y did u wait so long??lol
I'm 26. Still young! I'm not really worried about aging though. I feel better than I have in years. I'm in roller derby, I just bought a house, I'm getting married, and last but not least... I am a CPA! Life is good! Really looking forward to the next few years and seeing what adventures life throws my way... maybe a baby or two before I'm 30?? Who knows!
I got my BS in Accounting in 2007 when I was 22. It just took me a while to get my CPA.
A lot of 30 somethings. :-) I am 30. Have a BS in Meteorology, an MPA (Master of Professional Accountancy), and have been working for a big 4 firm for about 4 months. I've been married to my high school sweet heart for 4.5 years.
@Acct
I think you are thinking of KB24, I think she was 55. I miss her!!! She was such a good egg.
@CPATerminator LOL!
I have the 150 hours done. Finished that up last year.
31, with a supportive husband and a 2 year old boy.....wanting to finish this to order a 2nd little monster ;)
