To the tax senior/manager board members, what is your take on Federal Tax, State and Local Tax (SALT), Partnership Tax, Estate Gift and Trust, International Tax? If you could specialize in only one tax area, what would it be?

I wish I could get into estate and gift tax. I am in a very specialized field that does all business returns, mostly partnerships and some s-corps.

    Florida CPA!
    Took final exam 2/25/15.
    Sent in Application 3/12/15.
    Issued License 3/20/15.
Used CPA Excel solely for all exams.

I work mostly with multistate, multi-tiered pass-through entities (partnerships and S corps), which is really interesting most of the time; however, I've always thought it would be interesting to get into the international tax arena. Pretty much doing what I do, but on a much larger and more complicated scale.

I work in Hedge Fund Tax(aka partnerships). It is challenging and pretty interesting. Hours can be long, but I think that is the case with most accounting jobs in the NYC area where I work at least.

It is very speicailized practice and offers a good amount of opportunity.
