I am so exhausted from studying…my exam is tomorrow. Sorry for posting this nonsense but a few last second questions:

    1. All I need to take are two forms of ID + NTS?

    2. Is it scratch pads with erasable pens or…?

    3. Is there a place to put my stuff usually (like a locker or something)?

    4. Is it just a desk with a desktop computer?

    Thanks!

Just #1 (dont know if you really need 2, but it wont hurt).

They supply you a locker for all your belongings, should you bring any.

The testing area is a cubicle that has a computer, yes, just a desktop. They do have headphones and things to deafen the noise.

You are not permitted to bring anything into the testing area. They give you a dry erase board and markers.

Almost always from my phone... please excuse my typos!

Are we allowed to bring ear plugs?

Yes I was able to bring ear plugs. They have to be the foam kind, with no cord connecting them.

Bring as little as possible and try not to wear jeans/pants with many pockets. Also I would bring a jacket. the testing rooms tend to be kinda chilly.

It's also worth mentioning that some rules vary from site to site so it's worth asking them directly.

But the common rule is to bring your ID, NTS and as little else as possible. They should have lockers for your extra stuff as well. My site provided noise cancelling headphones but I didn't use them. A jacket is a good idea. My site was freezing to the point of being distracting when I took REG.

Show up a good 30 minutes early. You might even be able to show up even earlier and get started but that will depend on if they have open computers. But it can take awhile to get processed into your exam with fingerprints, identification and the full cavity search… OK, not quite that bad but they're thorough.

Agree that you should get there at least a half hour early. It takes longer than you might imagine to get checked in, especially if the testing center is full and there aren't many staffers there. It can be problematic if you've got the last time slot before the center closes for the day and you show up right at that time.

You'll get two laminated sheets and dry erase markers that function as “scratch paper.” They'll give you more sheets as you need them, but only two at a time, and you have to turn them in when you leave. You can't bring a calculator (you have to use the one provided in the exam software) or other pens, pencils, etc.

Also, leave your study materials in the car. At my testing center, we were not allowed to even bring them into the building. I would say leave your cell phone in the car, too, but if that's not doable, just remember that you can't look at it during breaks.
