Im going to be a senior this year and I was unsure if I should start applying for jobs during my fall semester or spring semester if I am going to work in the summer. I am trying to look for jobs in Philadelphia, but I know I will have to start at Entry-Level positions. Does anyone know how early?

My school job fairs are awful. I went to them last year for an internship, and there was not one accounting internship offered there. Luckily I applied online to company's before that and got one. So when you apply in the fall do I just tell them I graduate in May and I am available then?

Do they have campus recruiting(seperate of job fairs) at your school? Recruiters know you arent free until graduation. Also, any accounting societies at your school? Maybe they would know? I personally wasnt involved in things like that but heard they helped. But if none of that is the case you are just job hunting like the rest of the country…. you might have to wait until closer to the time you are free. Or offer them part time until you graduate? Just some ideas.

Thanks for the ideas. I am not in any accounting groups like that either, but I am pretty just it is just the career fair. We have a career site linked to our school as well but that is not great either.

Start applying yesterday. You will always need more time.
