6 hours a day I study. 5 weeks. 2 weeks to review. In 7 days I take my first CPA exam.

    Trending 62% in Ninja MCQ.

I feel like no matter how hard I have been trying to review this past week my trending seems to stay at 62%. Re-reading Roger CPA textbook, doing TBS, taking notes… Etc.

My average is 60% too. So the past two weeks of using Ninja it only went up 2%. What the heck-la-moojas?

I feel terrible because I so want to pass this FAR on my first try. I finally had my first dream about FAR MCQs. I thought people were joking when they say they had these dreams.

My hand is developing carpal tunnel syndrome it seems because it hurts to move it. I develop the habit of drinking two cups of coffee a day now to keep studying. Keep doing MCQs. Reading notes.

I take breaks often and when needed so I don’t “gloss” over during my studies. AHHHHHHHHHHH

Put it in context more. Have you ever actually pulled a company's 10k and looked at their financials? Have you ever played with quickbooks and entered transactions in? Have you ever bought a stock or a bond before and tracked its value through a stock split or as interest rates rise and fall? Make it more personal and it might stick better.

CPA exam is a marathon and you may fail multiple sections. It's all about lasting until the finish line.

You are using good review materials and studying enough so not much advice here to give. Your actual score should be better than your practice MCQs. Don't neglect Govt and NFP…easy points that most ppl use to get them a pass

FAR is mile wide but only an inch deep…they don't test in depth…

    AUD - 75
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 76
    REG - 76
I want those initials next to my name!!!!

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 75
    BEC - 75
    REG - 76

Now I need some experience!!! And some networking...

    Pull yourself together man!

This is only your first exam, and as Last Chance eloquently put it above, this exam is a marathon, not a sprint; I also like the analogy of the exam (FAR in your case) being a mile wide, but only an inch deep. It can be overwhelming going through all your review material, and the amount of material that is covered. The worst thing about the breadth of the review materials, they will be unevenly tested on your exam. Whether you have more Gov't questions/or less, or more Cash Flow/or less, you will undoubtedly not be tested on a lot of material you prepared for. For my FAR exam I did around 2,500 MCQ for prep and had a final avg. of 58.9. Don't worry about the low scores, and from personal experience, I spend more time on wrong answers and understanding why it was wrong than my correct answers anyway…….So look at your lower avg. and pursuit of raising your avg. more worthwhile in the long run; because I would guess that if you went through on the first round and got high marks you wouldn't be pushing yourself as much as you are.

    Sincerely,

    AJG

When you get a MCQ wrong are you writing it down, figuring out why your answer was wrong and reviewing the concept or are you just trying to hammer out as many MCQ as possible?

2 cups coffee is before I even leave for work in the morning, LOL. You'll be fine.
