Hi everyone. I hope everyone is surviving the exam brain-frying as I am trying really hard to! I wanted to reach out to ask if anyone has used the Wiley online Audit test bank solely for preparing for the audit CPA exam????? I hope someone has so I can feel confident taking my exam on Wednesday of this week. I’ve relied on these online questions and wondering if they’re good enough material to get me at least a 75. I noticed the questions have nothing on international audit which is, supposedly, going to be tested this fall 2011. Please, advise. Thank you!

I am using Wiley, but it is not my sole testbank for Audit. I am using Becker as well. I sit on Wednesday as well. How are you doing on the tests? I am just hitting the 80's now.Phew! Don't know if/what that means. This is my 3rd try, so I am hoping it is my last.

I was going to try and see if I can swing a free trial on Gleim for Audit tomorrow. Just to see. I did that for BEC, I really liked their testbank.

I am pooped! Gotta hit the hay, tomorrow will be about 8-10 hrs studying. best of luck to you. let's pass this sucker on Wednesday, how bout it??????

Thank you for your reply. I wish you, too, the best on your exam on Wednesday! I was hitting 70s on some & high 60s on others (not including simulations) on my first round which wasn't too bad since I hadn't studied for audit for over 18 months ago (I passed this and lost credit recently). 🙁 On my 2nd round of testing the questions I booked marked, I've been hitting 80s. I'm scared that Wiley may miss something like how they're not incorporating internat'l questions until December even though I just purchased this test bank last month and the internat'l info became effective July 2011. I was not happy about that because I'm not sure how much internat'l questions will be tested Wed. I, too, am using an OLD Becker book (2008) as a guide as it still has a lot of info that has remained the same. There's just so much and I'm running out of time. I hope making these 80s will mean something Wednesday — I hope what I'm studying will be tested!

Let me know how you do on Wed after the exam — how you felt about it. I'll do the same. And, yes, let's pass this exam and get our life back!! 🙂 Good luck tomorrow studying…I, too, will be studying alllllll day.

you are right…Wiley doesnt have any international. I was going to look at Becker on that, and Roger goes over a bit on it. I am like you, wondering if this is enough to pass! UGH. I will report back after my exam. Best of luck to you!!!

I used Wiley book and testbank and felt like the testbank questions added so much more.

Don't worry about the international stuff too much.

@75 I'm anxious to see how you did on your test. I'm using the exact same study method as you and I test next Tuesday. I'm also doing a few questions at CPAreviewforfree.com as a supplement.

I just want to say that I felt good on the M/C Qs BUT then I got to the simulations…they were ridiculous! UGH! If I don't pass, I know it will be due to the sims. I studied sims and those I got just made no sense on what they were asking for. Oh well, I will enjoy Thanksgiving and the weekend!

How do you feel the Wiley testbank compares to the CPA? I only used the wiley books found in barnes & noble as prep and feel they seem more focussed and targeted than the actual exam. Where I feel this leads me wrong is over-thinking and falsely rejecting the correct answer which I feel is incomplete and oversimplified.

Also I think the hype about the international standards is overdue, I didn't see a single question on it Nov.12th.

Regarding simulations, I find it helpful working at the problem both ways: questions forward, and answers back. Sometimes there are answers that don't quite fit, but if you look at it from the perspective of “if i *had* to match this answer to a question, where would it best fit” can leave you with less uniform answers that you can imagine the test designers intending.
