Wiley Question –

Has anyone else ever had problems with the program? For me, I am unable to do the Practice Session or Take a Test b/c it’s claiming there is a Java problem, but my Java is all set up. So I’m just not sure if anyone else has experienced problems too?

Yup, for some reason every time I logged into it I had to give it the okay to run the Java plug-in. I use firefox for my web browser and if I didn't get the pop up i get an icon in the top of the browser I can click and ask it to run. There should also be the option in the web browser to always allow plug in's for a certain website under settings, which might help you from having to manually run the plug in every time you log in. Hope that helps…

Hmm it's working for me this morning… Do you get the popup asking you to run the Java program? My Firefox always asks due to some possible security risk, I'm wondering if your browser is set up to not allow it if there's any security risks?

Yea I did get that popup (I also have Firefox) so I clicked the accept button, and even restarted my computer. I also went on a different computer and tried it from Internet Explorer and that also won't work =( I'm so bummed b/c I was really considering purchasing WTB to get additional practice, but it won't be worth it if it won't even work for me =(

Dang…I don't know what to tell you. 🙁 WTB is great, and I loved the 24 hour trial (used that to get practice before I bought it lol), but yeah, if it won't work, then it's pointless. Can you access the online chat help, or will it not even let you get that far?

I looked under their FAQs and saw their steps for making it work with Firefox, but none of those worked…I guess I can try to contact them as well..thanks!! =)

Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful…mine hasn't had that problem (*cross fingers and knock on wood*) so not sure what the remedy is.

Have you tried going to the Java website and making sure you have the newest version of Java on your computer? Having an outdated version of Java can cause a lot of problems trying to access certain websites – Wiley TB included.

Yea my Java is up to date…they wrote me back and gave me some steps to try and change some settings and it FINALLY worked!! Apparently my computer disabled something associated with the Java which is why it wouldn't work? It was something weird like that haha but it finally did work! Thanks everyone for your input and advise on this! I am currently using becker so hopefully supplementing it with this WTB will be helpful! =)
