On one of my interviews the partners took us out to lunch. I knew lunch was going to be provided but I had no idea we would be going out to a restaurant. Needless to say, it was my first time on a business lunch and I was so nervous! I ordered a salad and one of the partners said, “oh that’s an amazing salad”. So I got the dressing on the side. I didn’t want to dump the dressing all over my salad. So occasionally I would use the spoon and drizzle a little of the dressing on my salad. It was a big salad lol so I was doing it a lot! Anyways, I noticed the partner staring at my salad all weird. Probably thinking what the heck I was doing! But I was trying to be polite and not soak the salad with all the dressing. I ended up getting the job but their other location. Please share some of your work lunch etiquette’s so we all can learn from each other going further….
