    Hello,

I have been licensed for about 5 months in Ohio, but my wife and I want to move to San Diego..hopefully Sept-Oct. I have been doing general accounting duties and am considering either Internal Audit/some kind of Audit or Forensic Accounting. Seems like many more jobs in IA than Forensic and Forensic seems to want A LOT of prior experience. Anyways, can anyone suggest good recruiters or such people for this purpose? We don’t know anyone there but we know that we want to move there. Any suggestions/advice/information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

UCSD grad here. I've played with that job market for a while. At the moment, I saw a lot of open positions on USAjobs in SD, maybe look there. I've used Aerotek and other small-time recruiters. But for the most, I'd say finding a job is somewhat difficult (?) A way I've found for recruiters to find me is that I apply for several SD positions on Indeed or careerbuilder and they will just come to you.

I live in San Diego. The job market for accountants is pretty good but be prepared to be eaten alive by housing costs if you plan on living anywhere near the coast.

As of 2017 there is a new ethics requirement in CA that you should look into…Not sure if you will need to take an ethics class to transfer your license out here or not (assuming you haven't already)
