How do you all study for your next test while waiting to receive scores for the previous one? For my previous two exams I wasn’t able to study for the next exams due to commitments so I haven’t experienced needing to study while waiting. How do you all concentrate?? my mind goes off after answering 2 questions. ALso I’m studying for BEC and it is not as stimulating for me as the others have been. we’re so close to knowing too! next week guys:) what motivates you to push your brain to concentrate?

For starters, next time you might want to take your exam closer to the score release date. This way, you aren’t wasting a lot of time daydreaming.

The best motivation I would say is to think, if I pass the last exam I took then time will continue to run and I would want to have this time to study so I should study now that I have the time. Hope that make sense.
I am experiencing the same with BEC but a particular session. Financial Management is hard for me and it’s killing my confidence. I am telling myself I should study it so I can move past this section.
Economics is interesting because you can really apply it to daily life. So try and get lost in applying it to life and while at it, you are studying.
Corporate governance is audit and some other stuff. Since you already studied and passed audit I imagine your confidence is through the roof when you study this area. The confidence should help you get through materials.

    Good luck on score release.

Giving up is not an option.

The question is not whether I will be a CPA or not, the question is when will I become a CPA.

I need to pass before busy season.

I had a large delay in my FAR score, and after I took a week off a seat for AUD opened up, so I went full bore trying to get it done in 3 weeks.
It didn't leave me much time to daydream or stress about it. Then I had about 10-12 days after AUD to receive AUD and FAR scores.
I could not really concentrate much so I spent the time watching the lectures for REG. I work in tax so I didn't need to overly concentrate on the REG lectures.
Worked out well for me as a stalling method, without really stalling.

@futurecpa I can certainly agree with you! I do certainly enjoy the corporte governance section and also because I was an auditor for a some time. But like you, We are in this financial management struggle together! but we will make it through with persistance and practice! I definitely agree time is passing anyways so I need to get it together and just focus so I don't feel like I wasted time. and thank you @recked! for your input It makes me feel better that this is something that we all deal with and we just have try our best to cope with it!

I always studied for the next one, so I didn't waste any time. To me, it was refreshing to move on to a different section and learn something new, and it took my mind off of waiting for my score. However, I am now on my last section and now I have no choice but to sit and wait.

BEC was a tough one. It is supposedly the “easy one”, but I thought it was challenging. Lots of calculation questions. The COSO, ERM sections were miserable. Hard to stay focused on the work.

I took a week completely off from studying. Helped a little. Fortunately, BEC is fairly short.
