    NINJA Question –

Would you say that Ninja MCQ was a good prep for the exam? I got through about 75% of Wiley’s and switched to Ninja MCQ. I feel like Wiley teaches the basic of the basic of the basic, and so I haven’t gone back to it for BEC and have just been using MCQ exclusively. Does this have the material to get one through the exam/ is this a good representation of the exam?

    Hi Biff,
I recently took BEC and I used Roger CRAM and the NINJA MCQ test bank. Please keep in mind that I have not received my score yet so I can't tell you if the NINJA MCQ bank was “good prep” for the exam, per se. I can tell you what I experienced though.

I was only able to get through <350 MCQ's from the NINJA MCQ bank, and about 150 from the Roger book. I scored very high on the Roger MCQ's and more often than not below passing for the NINJA. So to your question, the NINJA MCQ's are more difficult. It often tested specific items that were nowhere to be found in the Roger book, which drove my practice scores lower. I am in no way saying that the Roger material did not cover enough, because I think it did. In any case, I learned a lot from analyzing why I got the questions wrong on the NINJA MCQ, which I didn't get from the Roger book (because I barely missed any Q's).

Basically, yes, the NINJA MCQ will prepare you for the exam. Keep in mind the following: 1) do not memorize the answers; 2) make sure you write down the notes when you incorrectly answer a question.

    Hope that helps.

    Good luck.

OK cool, thanks for the response. I'm hoping you're right, and Ninja is an adequate prep for it. I'll just stick with this then

I'd say it's a major reason why I passed. It attacked me in areas that I was weak at, I got to adaptive, not review. I did 700ish of the 1300 they have. Since taking the exam, I've realized that SOME, JUST SOME, questions from the exam are a LITTLE easier. BEC just tends to be more tricky in terms of the questions they ask.

Don't like fret about your trending or average. I believe I was trending 70 a day before the exam. Good luck.

@Melody, exactly how many MCQs had you done in those last three days?

@Amor – i forgot but I reached around 4k+ mcqs on exam day, I did 40 in the morning of my exam, lol. I also read COSOs on I/C & ERM and about cloud computing as I saw these in AICPA released questions for BEC but not in NINJA mcq

    4k+? That's insane.
But you did a great job.
How many MCQs did you do with REG before your actual test day?

@Amor For REG, I went on 2 weeks leave just to study as they don't have tax here in the Middle East so zero exposure. I reached 5K because I wanted to reach 75% average at least for each topic

It helped me for sure. I did around 800 or so questions in a week. I spent a total of 3 weeks on BEC- the first two of which I read and took notes from Becker. My first set of 30 questions on Ninja was like a 53, finished averaging in the mid 70s, passed with an 86.
