Minimize Junk Foods

Everywhere you turn, you read about the importance of limiting junk food consumption. There is a reason for this. Junk foods are high in calories and low in nutrition. They can literally seep your body of energy by taking so much of this precious resource to digest.

Being a busy professional means you likely stop at a fast food eatery at some time. It may be to catch a quick lunch, a breakfast sandwich to enjoy at your desk, or an entire late night meal. Rest Your Body

Your body takes a beating during studying. That is how the entire subject of ergonomics came about. You likely slump over the desk or computer, have an unhealthy workstation area, and/or perform repetitive movements. You will lower your risks of injury and improve your overall functioning by keeping your musculoskeletal system flexible. Do some chair exercises like a gentle side twist that works your entire spinal column. Improve your back health by slowly leaning forward until your chest is against your thighs. If doing this while standing, be sure to slightly bend your knees. Remember to stretch out your fingers, hands, and wrists.

Respect Your Eyes

Give your eyes a break. Close your eyes for a few seconds. This maneuver alone will regenerate your tired eyes. There also are a number of simple eye exercises you can do. With your eyes closed, roll them in a clockwise and counter-clockwise manner slowly and gently. Try giving yourself a gentle eye massage by placing your palms over your closed eyes. Apply gentle, circular pressure.
