Hi again. I hope everyone's studying is going well and that you are keeping your sanity! My studying, well lately it has been tough. Last week was flat out crazy with wrapping up 1040s prior to the deadline, as well as a death in the family.

I took a little time off of studying to spend time with family, but then had to jump back in head first to catch up. I am continuing to use the Wiley software that comes with the Roger CPA Review software, and feel that I have a good understanding of the material.

This week I have continued ‘fine tuning' my audit expertise by looking at my weak areas, reading them over in my Roger book and NINJA Study Notes, and continuing to do as many questions as possible on those topics.

Along with going over those areas, I am doing simulation after simulation. The Wiley question bank has a ton to practice with. I know that when I started taking the exam, my peers told me that practicing the simulations wasn't exactly necessary, but I am now in complete disagreement.

I failed Audit last time due to my simulations, so I know this is an area of great importance. You never know what type of simulation you will receive, but having an idea of how they may be structured is great. Also, practicing them allows you to put the knowledge you have gained through reading the material and doing the multiple choice questions into a practical application.

Anyways, I thought I would check-in and see how everyone's studying is going. Keep it up–the more studying you do now, the greater chance you have of passing and never having to study again. Back to the books I go….
