Happy Holidays!!

Last week I didn’t blog. It was my birthday that week and I had SO much going on. I was proud of myself that I managed to get through about half a chapter in Roger CPA Review so I’m really not behind.

My plan (the plan that has been revised one billion times) is now to get through all of the videos this week and then review until my test date. That will probably include re-watching some areas I’m weak in, and since I’ve drawn my studying out so long, I will probably struggle in some areas I’ve forgotten.

During the holidays it’s hard to stay on track in many parts of my life. In my health, in my studying and at work it’s easy to get sidetracked by plans of big meals, gifts, and family gatherings, but it’s not worth throwing hard work away for one day.

Someone said something so true to me a few days ago about the holidays: “It’s a holiDAY, not a holiWEEK and not a holiMONTH.” This is SO true!!! It’s so easy to get wrapped up in the holidays and forget about everyday life that chugs on and lose sight of that, but this year I am going to try not to do that.

The CPA journey is hard, but I don’t want to make it harder by letting the holidays derail me. Yesterday I got off work early and I rushed home and watched some CPA videos before my family took me out for a belated birthday dinner. Then I came home and watched more videos.

I hope everyone had a great holiday!!

Study hard!
