After each section i feel completely lost (not completely but still have a hard time answering calculation questions). From those who passed FAR, when did you feel the material starting to make sense before the exam?

Honestly, don't get bugged down too much with all the details. FAR has a lot of materials and I found that for the most part, having a surface level understanding is good. I guess everyone is different but for me, I found that there were really only 3 chapters that really were difficult for me. This is because I had a good foundation in underground which prepared me for the other chapters and so they were more like review. I still did 2 chapters per week though and took about 6 weeks to study for FAR. Honestly, I was feeling very questionable about my ability to pass the exam even in the week leading up to the exam. It wasn't until about 3 days before my exam that I felt like I was going to pass this exam (i.e with FAR you will never be able to remember every single thing, but you'll get to a point when you feel like the stuff that you do know, it sufficient for you to pass).
I know it may seem crazy but I remember reading other peoples' posts when I was studying for FAR and they were saying the same thing; how they didn't feel ready for the exam until like 3 days before.
Just make sure you don't skip any topics and drill MCQ's till you brain hurts. That was literally what helped me pass. 1 week from the exam, I just hammered NINJA MCQ>

I used Becker and it did not come together until I went through the material for the second time! I left a month to review, one of those weeks I took off from work and went through every section of the Becker book again. I did not review the last three sections because those were my strongest since I audit governmental and nonprofit entities. I passed in December with an 80 and I am so thankful. FAR is a beast. I would recommend going through it twice if you are feeling that lost your first go around. Good luck!

Lots of MCQs will help to bring it all together.
its completely normal to feel lost and completely overwhelmed.

I feel the same, I even tried switching to Governmental to see if I can wrap my head around that, but I am scoring 50-60% on my first attempt at MCQs, don't know if I will ever be able to pass FAR

Just continue figuring out why you were wrong for all of your incorrect questions. Getting questions wrong is where the understaning starts, and that's really how this thing works for the most part. You start out making 55-60%, continue studying and reviewing practice problems, results get better and better.

That said, I was making 80+% on most of the practice tests leading up to exam day and still never felt comfortable with many of the topics. It's just too large a body of knowledge to have a high comfort level on the entire thing (for most people, given the time constraints placed on studying).

Agree with Jimmy's post above. I never felt good/comfortable/confident with all of the FAR material. I feel like it's impossible to achieve that. By the end of my review, I was scoring in mid 80's on most practice question sets and scored in the 90's on my practice test. I still felt iffy up until receiving my score. Just continue to run those MCQ's, review those you miss and make sure you understand why you got them wrong, and definitely hit the AICPA practice exam. You passed the other parts, so clearly you have the ability to pass this one. Good luck!
