    Hi guys and another71.

just found out my score for Reg. I got a 67, it was my second time taking it, and I did worse than my first time (70).

My first time around I used Beckers only, supplemented w/ ninja notes.

2nd time around, I purchased wiley test bank and did mcq’s over and over and over, and over again. and read the updated ninja notes as much as i could. (For my 2nd time around for Far, I used wiley test bank and passed w/ flying colors.)

I was comparable in all the topics, except for ethics section.

and then weaker in both mcq’s and sims.

extremely devastated and frustrated when I find out that i did worse, especially on the last exam that I need to take. my first one expires oct 28. i know i can’t quit, but i am ready to.

    any advice or suggestions?

For your second time on REG – did you do exactly what you did the first time PLUS the additional materials or did you take the “I dont want to watch the videos again so I'll do tons of MCQs” shortcut.

Are you taking killer notes over the videos?

    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

    Jeff,

I'm guilty of the latter – i didn't rewatch the videos bc I thought I was taking the Ninja way and doing mcq's over and over again.

I didn't think the beckers videos were very helpful first time around, but I watched all of the videos, and wrote out notes based on my reread of chapter. That being said, my beckers 2012 software is set to expire in 29 days.

is there anyway I can extend my subscription, or should I switch courses?

Well – the ninja way isn't to stop using your videos.

    (N)ail the Videos 🙂

As far as extending – that's up to you …be sure to watch demos before you buy another product and make sure you like it.

Just a tip, and one that I've found out the hard way (especially with soooo many hours of video lectures to watch), is that it isn't just about how many videos you watch / re-watch, its about how WELL you watch them. If you aren't engaged in the topic, and I mean FOCUSED INTENTLY on what the instructor is saying, you aren't going to absorb the information.

Thanks for the input Cmaxwell – not sure if i can watch all the videos in 29 days. seems like its

@Jeff -ah yes, the first is to nail the videos.

if the videos aren't available, what would you recommend (i'm guessing the ninja audio is not an equal substitute)?

do you believe in just reading the book, taking notes, doing MCQs, rewriting ninja notes?

It took me a long time to watch videos intently, because I did take intense notes. No shortcuts allowed. There is an exceptinally small group of people that can pass this exam. And even a smaller group that can pass without fully committing to the process that is required to master this information.

I found it very helpful and efficient, when I had to restudy, to have my original notes out and add to them as I rewatched the videos. I still rewrote my notes. And I continued to remake flash cards. And I kept a new FACT NUGGET book by my side.

Trust the process, but go through all of the steps.

    🙂

@MCLKT – do you think 29 days is enough to get through all of becker's reg videos?

@Jeff and others: just to give an idea of the amount of mcq's i did, i did 4364, and got an avg score of 89%.

and i'm telling you, i wrote down the ones I got wrong, kept a fact nugget list, took the time to understand what I got wrong…

    drives me bonkers.

thanks for all the responses though.
