REG/BEC next window…advice?

    Hi all,

So, I got my results from REG taken 02/01/10 in Wave 1 – 73. For whatever reason, MCQ results were a bit less than anticipated. Also, sims were surprisingly stronger than anticipated.

My question is this: I have registered to take BEC next window – I have to schedule <05/03/10 (waiting on NTS). I plan on taking REG again in this window as well.

Due to busy season, current time constraints prohibit exhaustive study time – should I retake REG early April, and study for BEC (haven’t started) after this, and take BEC very early May?

Or should I start studying for BEC now, take that late April/early May, and then ‘brush up’ on REG to take late May?

Just a timing thing…wondering how to approach this. With such a lag in score confirmation, payment coupons, NTS, often these things overlap…any advice? šŸ™‚ Thanks!

What materials are you using? I prepared for BEC using Becker in less than a month. Overall it seems a toss-up. You could brush up on REG and be ready to take it early April if you buckle down and then have a month to prepare for BEC. On the flip side, you could study for BEC first and then take REG at the end of the May. Both seem valid. I would lean towards brush up on REG and take it early April while it is still fresh. You are only 2 points away, so luck and a little work should be able to push you over the line. If you feel like you can review with your existing materials make sure you've hit areas you felt weak in. Consider one of the cram courses if you think you need a bit more.

Thanks for the tip Dale. I'm using Bisk; everyone I know uses Becker, but I got a deal on Bisk and figured all roads lead to the same place.

I'm still debating which route to take. With the next month being consumed by work, I'm leaning towards just sparingly studying for BEC now, hit it hard >04/15, and schedule as close to 05/03 as possible. That gives me 4 weeks to brush up on REG, which I should instinctively know the best anyway.

If my payment didn't expire for BEC on 05/03, the obvious choice would be to take REG while fresh in early May, then cram for BEC at end of month, but, in the absence of throwing away more money, that's a luxury I dont have.
