So I took AUD and I was confident in the 1st testlet but the 2nd testlet was very hard. I can’t be certain about most of my answers. I have never seen most of those questions in practice. It was like I was being tested on a whole different exam from AUD. Oh well.
    .
The sims seemed very fair. I feel confident I didn’t butcher them. In all the testing I’ve done, I feel like the sims change based on how well the MCQ’s are answered. Anyone else feel the same way? I know that the 2nd MCQ testlet is determined by the 1st. They do not state that the difficulty of sims correlate to how well MCQ’s are answered.
    .
I guess I’m wondering if people have ever been hit with a hard 2nd MCQ testlet and felt they didn’t do well, then got hit with difficult sims… I feel like that would be setting up candidates to fail. “Hey you’re doing well so let’s give you a super difficult testlets until the end all because you nailed the 1st!” The only time I’ve been hit with difficult sims was when I had 2 medium level difficulty MCQ testlets…Any thoughts?

Per the AICPA, it looks like only MCQs have the multistage testing, not the SIMs. Which makes me believe that how well you do on the MCQs has no impact on the difficulty of the SIMs. – https://www.aicpa.org/becomeacpa/cpaexam/psychometricsandscoring.html

From my experience, I find the SIMs to be difficult regardless if I did well on Testlet 1 & 2. Good luck, I hope you pass!

    AUD - 84

What a journey! It took me 12 attempts, do not give up, keep going! Praise God!
