    I just did the first REG practice exam on Becker and got 73%. I am freaking out. I got 85% on MC and 59% on Simulations.

    What I should do to study before the exam on Thursday? How can I improve my simulation? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Rework the simulations. As many as possible.

    make sure you understand the various tax returns and how things flow through them.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

    Definitely concentrate on SIMS. I would also do more research SIMS (I presume they still have those in the new exam format). Doing more research will allow you to become more familiar with the authoritative literature, which you can hopefully utilize for other non-research SIMS. Also, did your practice exam contain alot of repeat questions you've already seen, or new questions? The reason I ask is if you didn't have many repeats, I wouldn't freak out if I were you. FWIW, I used Roger for all 4 parts and my practice exam average was about 10 points lower than my actual score on the exam. Good luck!

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

    @JDN9201, I did not see a lot of repeated questions. At lest I don't remember them.

    AL is definitely my weak point for the simulations. Thanks for your advice! I am thinking spend a night to read/navigate through it and be familiar with it.

    I would not freak out – how I performed on the practice exams were not indicative on how I’d perform on the exam. In fact, when I took AUD, REG, and BEC for the final time before I passed them I failed the practice exams for all 3 tests. I think it was nerves and I was overstudying/overthinking everything at that point. I ended up passing these 3 sections with scores in the 80s despite doing horrible on the practice exams. Do not let a 73 consume your mind. What I did was make sure I carefully reviewed everything I got wrong. Take a breather then review the exam in chunks. If you have time, rework a few sections on the practice exam to see if you are retaining the concept. On exam day, remind yourself to breathe and read carefully. You know more than you think you know!

    @Ashiaj,

    Thank you for sharing your experience! I feel better now. I am currently reviewing all my marked HW questions and practicing simulations. Hope I will pass.
