I have been reading posts predominantly with an actual score higher than the Becker mock exam score. Just curious to know if there’s anyone who scored lower than the mock exam score. If so, please post the scores and any reason you think you fell short.

I am curious about this too. I think it's pretty rare? But I guess people who do worse don't really talk it compared to people who do much better.

    Becker for all

    AUD - 87 (Q2 2017)
    FAR - 97 (Q3 2017)
    REG - 95 (Q3 2017)
    BEC - 98 (Q3 2017)

I think it has happened before.

My personal experience is when I took AUD the first time, I really didn't put 100% into it. I was burnt out and had just started a new job so I didn't take a mock exam.

The second time I took it, I put a lot more effort in, took better notes, and took a mock exam to gauge where my weaknesses were. I passed the second time.

My point is that I think it is probably a “rare occurrence” as people who take the mock exams tend to be very dedicated to passing and have been working hard for x number of weeks. People who fail the exam most likely didn't even take a mock exam. If that makes sense? And not saying that is the case for every person, just an observation I have made.

    B- Pass
    A- Pass
    R- Pass
    F- Pass

    B 10/29/16
    A 10/1/16
    R 9/2/16
    F 7/26/16

I think I've always scored right around the average of my mock exams. People generally do better than the mock exams since Becker goes for the worst case scenario, but keep in mind how you do on the mock exams are not necessarily an indicator of what is on the real exam. It is just a good way to see more questions and practice the layout.

I agree that is a rare occurrence. I scored 76% in my first mock exam for Auditing and 69% in the second one. I had way too much time left after completing each of the mock exams. So I had decided that I would try and utilize my free time to revise while taking the final exam. During the final exam, I thought the MCQs were pretty simple and probably flagged 5 in each of the testlets. However, I ended up spending more time just revising what I had marked and the TBS turned out to be quite lengthy and time-consuming. I hate myself for not giving it more time. For one or two TBS', I didn't have the time to read all the information and answered them purely based on the answer choices. Kinda why I am starting to feel that I might score lower than the mock exams.
