Hi, passed BEC and REG and bought Becker FAR review course since I have heard that its better to take FAR before AUD.

I just started FAR but there are 10 lectures to do and when I create a study plan, Looks like I will just finish watching all the lectures right before my next test,End of May.

I was wondering how many lectures does Becker AUD have? Thinking if its like half of the volume, it may be better to do AUD first so that I have enough time to review myself…I have to move on to AUD anyway after May since we won’t find out score soon..so if I take AUD on End of May, I can give about 3 months for FAR on End of AUG.

Do you think taking AUD first will be a bad idea? I don’t have accounting degree and not really familiar with financial statement….

I took AUD before FAR and not for any particular reason. I honestly don't think it really matters what order you test in, but I know many people do and have theories as to why. Becker's auditing review has 6 chapters, and reviewing for auditing shouldn't take as long as reviewing for financial.

if the order doesn't matter to you then I would take FAR before Audit. Some of the audit sims dabble into FAR material so I think having the FAR knowledge could help there. In my case, I failed Audit twice with 74's before taking FAR. The next time I took audit after FAR I passed.

I am taking FAR last, and taking AUD soon. I don't think the order is going to matter to me at all.

I think taking FAR first was beneficial before AUD, a lot of repeated topics/concepts.

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 80

Thank you, all. I am thinking to stick with what I got. I will need to study more hours and push my schedule to have some review time!

I have attempted AUD times so far and every time the only thing screwing me up is TBS section. They always had things that I might see on FAR exam. I would strongly advise taking FAR before AUD. I am doing the same now.

I took AUD after FAR and even though I failed FAR I found having studied for it helped me tremendously with AUD- especially with the SIMs

And they ask me why I drink

    BEC 71, 82
    AUD 75
    REG 75
    FAR 61, 69, 83

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

I took AUD before FAR and failed with a 72. I got stronger in 3 categories and comparable in the other 3. Overall stronger in MCQ. Weaker in SIMS. I do believe the FAR knowledge would have helped me there. I'm taking FAR end of May then my AUD retake in July or August. I would say I'll let you know if it helps but I won't know until September 22nd.

    AUD - 72
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 82
    REG - 80
It will all be worth it...hopefully
