It seems that folks are doing great in AUD this window as I have seen fewer vents on AUD. Last quarter AUD was brutal as touched too much on my weaker area like risk etc and didn’t cover the Audit sampling which is strong area.Wondering why Q4 has always lowest passing rate.feel free to share your AUD exam experience.

I agree with those who think it has more to do with school schedules…and the holidays. Q4 has lower rates because of holiday obligations, year end preparation and students are mid-program.

I retook AUD this quarter and I can assure you it was much harder. However, I did better on the testlets, so they should have gotten more challenging. Goodluck.

@cpa4928 did you notice if testlets were getting harder ? I had not noticed the hardness level change in testlets , I am curious how they decide if it is getting harder.I can understand SIM whether it's hard or not by logic that even with help of AL if I can't solve it then it's hard.Seems you did well on MCQ and SIM both.

I retook AUD this quarter and the exam was much, much harder than last quarter (scored 74). I haven't had time to get on this forum since busy season is starting to amp up, maybe people haven't had time to vent 🙂

Not buying it…

1. What's hard for you may be easy for some. It's subjective. Some people would love a memorization heavy exam, for me that's a nightmare.
2. You have no way of knowing what's experimental and what isn't…so you have no way of knowing if what COUNTED is harder.
3. You don't know about the curving/impact.

I took audit this quarter and also last quarter, and it was much harder this quarter. The sims were a lot harder and weren't anything studying just audit would've helped. I made a thread about mine and also someone had like a 2 page thread about people taking audit this quarter, and pretty much everyone said it was much harder. so we'll see

I honestly dont think it has to do with the aicpa giving harder tests in certain quarters but because many ppl have family or Holliday obligations or work obligations.

I can attest to this quarter's AUD being more challenging – I promise. The SIMS were harder than my FAR Sims when I took that exam in Q3. But, this was my retake and I noticed my MCQ's testlets getting harder bc I was taking more time. The SIMS were absolutely miserable – no lie. Goodluck to all.

@thebigguy1992, tell me your secret with FAR!?!? The more I review the more unprepared I feel. Im forgetting a lot of things :/ I really need that 75. What did you do differently second and third time. I got a close score like yours the first time. Thanks. Sorry for not related to AUD.

well i got a 62 with becker, i got a 73 adding the ninja book and multiple choice, and then i bought the whole 10 pt. combo for my passing. i passed pretty much using the ninja method. so read what jeff tells you to do for the ninja method and thats exactly what i did for both of my passing scores.

@GitRDone2017 last time you got 74 so I can safely assume that you have the subject matter grasp.Trying to understand why you feel it was harder ? Why SIM were considered harder by you ? I understand that AJE ,ratios or assessment of risk and control you may not solved using AL but reports and other topics I presume ,can be solved sung SIM.Many folks are saying this quarter was harder and I am trying to gauge if it was within the content of Becker's or it was from FAR ? Your experience would be highly appreciated.

Hey Y’all,

Sorry I’m from Texas. Anyways, I just walked out of my Audit Exam. The exam wasn’t too bad. I think after studying with NINJA MCQ’s and Becker MCQ’s, I felt prepared. I flagged a few a questions, maybe about 8-10 questions, which I was not completely sure about. Narrowed the answer choices, and picked the best possible one. I definitely felt the testlet give harder questions, but obviously everyone’s perception maybe different. I think the SIMS were fair not extremely difficult, but not easy either. I read on other topics that SIMS were difficult, this quarter, but I don’t think they were as difficult as people made it seem. I definitely got the research questions right. I used the AL to answer another one of my SIMS. I did about 4700 MCQ’s between NINJA and Becker in a month. Good luck to all! Remember, be confident! listen to your favorite song on the way to the exam, and give it your all! Good luck!!
