Just failed Audit in q1 with a 71 – Stronger MCQ/Weaker on Sims. Anyone have some advice on reviewing the simulations in general? Seems to give me the most trouble for any topic on the actual exam. Becker is my review course, but the Becker sims seem easier than those on the actual exam. Thanks!

Failed as well in Q1 with a 69. Comparable in MCQ . weaker in SIMS. THere was a similar thread started and there was a poster recommending to use the AL. I have no idea how that would work since I got 3 SIMS that had JE's and were clearly more FAR related. I have not taken FAR yet so you can imagine my anger and frustration. I also got screwed with 2 DRS.

IMO it is a matter of luck in which version of the exam you get. 5 SIMS that are either DRS or JE's is plain cruel.

I really don't think there is any way to study for them but to keep your fingers crossed and hope they are just AUD sims and nothing more. Perhaps others may have advise

Same boat. Failed Aud in Q1 with a 73. Comparable in mcq/weaker in sims. I'm using Wiley CPAexcel and just brought Ninja MCQ. Advice on sims would be appreciated.

I thought Gleim sims did a really good job preparing me for what I saw on the exams…

I didn't think the sims were that bad honestly. I did start to sweat a little when I got a DRS, but I wound up saving it for last and must have gotten at least a few of the answers correct (either that or it was a pretest sim)

When I took audit I kind of went over the SIMS but the SIMS weren't really comparable to the SIMS I saw on Roger. Luckily for me, a majority of them were related to journal entries and to FAR and I just recently took and passed FAR. I would definitely recommend using the AL, definitely helped me on one of the SIMS, and knowing your basic journal entries. If you've taken FAR before the AUD that definitely helps too!

I did well on the simulations since I powered through the MCQ really fat and gave myself roughly an hour and 45 minutes for the simulations. I was able to research some of the questions I had when doing the simulations since I had enough time. I used Becker and practiced the simulations over and over which helps. There's obviously an advantage of having a strong understanding of the material and concepts but I think it's almost just as important to be familiar with the format of the simulations. I felt Beckers had some pretty comparable simulations to prepare me for the exam.
