    I need some advice…

Long story short, I failed BEC in Q1 with a 69. Just got my score back last night from Q2, and it was a 72. My Becker is expiring in 9 days and I’m not sure if its worth it to get the extension ($299 for 3 months).

I’ve heard a lot of success stories on here about people pairing Becker with Ninja MCQ’s. I just can’t seem to get over the hump on BEC.

I have passed AUD and FAR and currently awaiting REG score in September.

Feeling really down in the dumps right now because I put soooo much time and effort into BEC and still no results to show. I’m no where near giving up, but I feel like i need to reevaluate my strategy at this point.

Planning a retake for the 1st of October, or possibly September 10.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, congrats to everyone who passed.

ALSO: Can anyone tell me how to change my signature???? It keeps giving me the error message “you are not allowed to access this page” when I click the link!

    AUD - 80

    FAR - 68, 78

    BEC - 69, 72, 87

    REG - 77

I've been where you are. BEC was my beast. I used Ninja multiple choice and audio paired with Becker books. You got this!

I currently using Becker. I personally find that the lecture are useful, eventhough I failed 2Q. The first time when I took it it didn't do any practice questions I only used the old book and I failed with a 58. When I took the test back in 2nd Quarter, i purchased the whole set of Becker I did some of the mcq, but still did not get to go through every chapters, and I ended up with 70. I am actually confident that I may be able to pass the 3rd attempt if I spend more time doing mcq and sim. Please wish me luck!

There were a LOT of IT questions that Becker did not address anywhere. They came out of nowhere.

I think I'll give the NINJA questions a shot.

    FAR - 68, 78

    BEC - 69, 72, 87

I was in this same exact position before my Q2'17 test. I was using Roger and if I hadn't passed BEC in Q2'17, I only would've had one more shot before I lost REG. I would suggest possibly supplementing with Wiley MCQ's in addition to any Ninja tools you use. Sometimes all it takes is adding MCQs from another reliable source to push you over the hump.
    Don't give up, good luck!

@rsg149 I know how you feel! I received a 74 on BEC when I took it back in March. I left the test thinking there was no way I didn't pass. Needless to say, I was shocked when I found out I failed by one point! I was completely devastated! Especially because I knew that meant I had to face the new BEC sims.

I took eight weeks for my BEC retake. I skipped the lectures (Roger) and bought the Gleim test bank. I would read a chapter in the Gleim textbook, then complete all of the MCQ for that chapter. Then for my final review, I went through all categories until I had at least a 75% and also completed all of the Sims. I ended up doing a little over 4,000 MCQ. In addition, I made a flashcard for every formula I came across, which ended up being about 100 flashcards by the time I was done. For my review, I memorized all of my formula flashcards. This actually wasn't too bad because I naturally already memorized a majority of the formulas by doing so many MCQ. Additionally, I used the Ninja Notes and Audio. My strategy and efforts definitely paid off because I found out I got a 90 on my BEC retake.

I know you are frustrated and hurting right now, but just know that this feeling will pass and you will feel that much more accomplished once you pass!

    FAR: 79 (7/25/16)
    AUD: 89 (10/3/16)
    REG: 69 (1/9/17); 83 (8/21/17)
    BEC: 74 (3/6/17); 90 (5/31/17)

    I passed BEC on my 4th try. I got 71, 74, 74, 81.
I covered every subjects in BEC but IT. IT, I did studied them but only to the extent to IT Internal Control and some Hot spot Cold spot thingy… I got 71, then 74. I refused to study IT past I/C because I didn't beleve it had anything to do with accounting beyond I/C. Then I got another 74. On my last try, I finally gave in and just studied IT and IT only and I got 81. I get bunch of weird IT questions on every tests I took, like naming viruses, what are white hat hackers, and all that IT stuffs. For me, I got lots of IT questions on all of my BEC tests. Don't be like me and study them!

    AUD - 75
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 76
    REG - 75

Been there. I feel that the new 2017 Becker material covers IT in a lot less detail than the previous materials. Read the Becker chapter from the 2016 materials the night before or morning before your exam. I think that this helped me quite a bit.

I can't say that the IT is a gigantic part of the test, but these types of questions…make it tough when you need to make an educated guess. It's enough to make or break you if a few points are all that you need.

Hang in there. I just passed BEC (finally – it's been a long road on that one). It's hard to restore confidence after so many close fails, but you will get there!!!! Good luck!!!!

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 83
    REG - 75

@want2change ,your breakup of scores shows good hope.Your WC is weak and that can definitely be bumped up by 5 marks. It seems you failed due to WC.I was failing BEC due to WC . You just need to write wc in Memo format and keeping all the key words.
For IT ,please collect some key words from Becker's and make a list of those terms and google it ,make 2-3 lines of note from google. It should be fine.
All those key words you may be found in blueprint.
In IT they ask some key words only ,they don't expect you to be graduate of Computer science.Just make list of key words from Blue print. In Becker's some topics they covered very well like hot back up ,cold back up ,encryption etc.Don't read the Becker's IT part if you don't understand or find difficult to grasp.take that word and read few lines from google.
I have heard that IT was from left field and not covered in Becker's.I partly agree with that.I have not seen new format IT questions but this complain was there in old format too.
Hey for getting 75 , you don't need to answer all questions.
