Did anyone take the exam yesterday? How did you think it went?

I took it yesterday and left there in tears. I felt ok about the MCQ's but the SIMS were so difficult. All DRS and I lost so much time on them that I only had 15 min a piece for each WC. This is my last section to pass and it looks like yours too. I was literally guessing on some of the SIMS because I was running out of time. One of them gave so much information it made my head spin. The only test I felt super confident leaving was Audit so I know I have to just sit back and wait but I honestly feel like I bombed the SIMS.

@ripnamy this sounds exactly like my experience. MCQ's were fine.. although it felt like they were getting much easier which is worrisome. After going home and checking, I got two easy ones wrong so not feeling too good about MCQs anymore. SIMS were ridiculous.. but at least relatively guessable. Half the time, I didn't even use the information they used because it seemed so unnecessary and impossible to calculate. WC I only had one hour total so 20 mins for each as well. I had serious writers block and only wrote around 5 lines for one of the WC basically just rewording the question so praying that's the tester. I don't think I've ever felt confident after an exam, yet have been passing so..here's to hoping though it seems pretty impossible to pass after that one.

@prayin4u I am so relieved you felt that way about SIMS!! I felt the exact same way….like waaaaayyyy to much information that I didn't even bother, just chose answers that made the most sense. Hoping it was enough. The only exam I felt great about was Audit, the other two I was just indifferent but leaning more towards that thought that I had failed but ended up pulling off the pass. This one though, just felt disastrous! Fingers crossed we both pulled it off! There is another thread called “BEC is hard!!!”, there are two stories in there from people who took the exam early January with the same experience as us and they both passed with 82's.

@busy I used Becker but to be honest, I didn't focus too much on the SIMS because I knew it's pretty much impossible to really prep for them. Practice sims won't have nearly as much detail as you'll see on the exam but I liked using Becker in general to study with.

Took BEC today (3/9).

Hopefully my last exam, but second MCQ testlet may have been my undoing. Unfamiliar terms, meandering AUD-like questions, and one question from hell about LIBOR, interest swaps, and basis points that still has me going what the fuuu.

Sims would've been quite manageable if I hadn't wasted so much time on that MCQ testlet. As it were, I had stress brain freeze on the last one, and left myself only 5 mins for each written response (ouch).

I also took it 3/9 and the sims seemed waaaay too easy for the CPA exam. It has me really doubting the feel good score I think I got lol

HA! that sounds about right.
I felt this way about the REG sims I had, and some of the BEC sims as well.
Kept reading it over and over to see if I was missing something because it seemed too simple. Where's the trick here?
