I took FAR on 9/10/19 and got a 67. I was planning on sitting on 10/19/19. I’ve done 4000+ MCQs and I’m trending in the high 60s. Yesterday I did 330 MCQs with a high score of 87 and a low score of 57. I think I should just wait it out, listen to more audio, watch more videos and do more MCQ. Change my date to November 9th. Scores will release on November 22nd. Thoughts?

I have no idea how people can do 300+ MCQ in a day. Are you actually understanding why you got a question right/wrong or is it more memorization?

If you schedule for on 11/9…and scores don't come out until 11/22, wouldn't that mean you'll lose BEC? Or do they count from the day you sit for the exam? My advice is not to let BEC drop! Who knows you might pass!

FAR is a dooseyyyy one, and I agree with DJD17! For final review, I made a list of weak topics and did about 30 MCQs per topic – but the key is to actually be actively learning. There's no pt in reviewing things you know already, or pretty comfortable with. This made it more effective in reviewing, since 30 MCQs doesnt seem too daunting. For those 30 MCQs, if I was scoring less than 70% then the topic is still on my list for the FINAL CRAM. I never spent time doing SIMS, since for every MCQ I would write out the JEs or T-accounts to understand the flow of the transactions; which I think thats what SIMS really tests you on anyways.

Score Information

I am waiting on my final exam score and it is set to be released AFTER my first credit expires. Will I lose my exam credit?
As long as you TAKE your final exam section BEFORE your first exam credit expires and when you receive your score it is passing, then you would not lose that first exam credit. All expiration times are set on Central Standard Time and are not calculated by your exam appointment time. If your first credit expires on January 31st, the latest you would want to take your final section would be January 30th
