Just finished my 2nd mock exam using Becker and got a 71. Took the 1st mock exam last Friday and got a 61. I knew I did poorly last Friday because I was exhausted from the week and wasn’t all in, which led to me bombing the sims. Overall, I got an 87% and 84% on the multiple choice for the exams, and the sims went 35% and 52%, although I’m currently re-grading the mock 2 sims because Becker marks both wrong if it’s like “pick the control and then classify it” so I get the control correct but the classification wrong, and Becker says they are both wrong.

Anyway, point being, I was hoping to “pass” the exam with this attempt and based on Becker’s grading, it didn’t happen. Anyone have some advice or have a similar experience to me and still pass? I want to feel like I can pass this exam because it seems as though people can tack on at least 5 points, but this is the worst I’ve done on any mock exams throughout this process.

I will say this up front – my grades on ALL of the mock exams were not compatible to my grades on the actual exams. I scored far higher on actual exams.

Becker’s software is just not sophisticated enough for a lot of the pieces, IE they mark wrong because of background rounding.

Actual exam scores are weighted much differently.

Take the same strategy as ever, focus on why you got something wrong if it’s actually wrong, and don’t worry about the partial credit or rounding errors.

Going into FAR I got 80 and 81% on my mock exams first and somehow almost aced the exam itself.

So don’t worry about the mock exams as much

Thanks RB. Not sure why I'm having a tougher time being confident going into this exam. Part of it might have to do with not getting a score back before I take it. Got REG back a week before FAR and got FAR back a month before I took AUD, but now I've got AUD sitting in limbo while I get ready to take BEC. Burnout could be factoring in to this exam as well, but I'm sure there's many others feeling burnt out after 8 months of studying as well.
