Hi all,

I am using Becker to prepare my first BEC test which is on August 8th.
So far, I get an impression that Becker teaches material A and B,
but there are material C and D that I’ve never seen on the book.

As a result, I get significant portion of questions wrong due to terms and
definition that I never seen during study.

Of course, in the end, I get used to those MCQs and knock them all out.
However, I feel like if this trend continues, than I would never be or feel
that I am prepared. Rather, I would just memorize materials on the book and MCQs
and hoping to get a testlet similar to that.

What are your experience?
Any word of advice on this issue?

I found in my studies with AUD, BEC and REG, that if you feel like you haven't seen the material before, you just haven't retained it. Invariably, when I went back to the book and re-read the relevant areas, I found the portions I had missed. Taking notes on the questions you repeatedly get wrong also helps to solidify the missing pieces. I also recommend Ninja MCQ as an additional study tool. It's great at pinpointing your weak areas and has questions that are different than Becker.

I can't really say that I found that with Becker, either; it might be hidden in the lecture but it's always there. I also agree with getting NINJA. I think it's the best add on.

I am currently studying for BEC as well and am noticing the same thing. Unfortunately I work all day and then try to get in about 2-3 hours a night of studying so I don't have a ton of time to take notes (exam is 8/28). I just keep hoping it will soak in and I will be good to go. This is theoretically my last exam and it has me scared to death!
