I take FAR, which will be my first exam i am attempting, in just under two weeks. I am using Becker to prepare and I wanted to hear from people who also used Becker how their MCQ progress tests scores translated to exam success. I have been doing well on these progress tests and just wanted to see if this would transfer to the test.

Becker's MCQ's did a good job preparing me – I think if you're comfortable with them, you know you're on the right track.

If you are able to do well on the Becker progress tests, you are definitely well prepared for the exam. Most of the Becker questions are much more in depth than what is on the actual exam. Just make sure you are doing well on the Becker progress tests because you understand the material, not because you memorized the answers.

    ^^^^^ I agree.

I always felt that Becker was harder than the actual questions I got on the exams for materials studied***. I put the asterisks there because every exam I took had some material that was just out of left field and never covered in Becker.

I never did the progress tests. But the two final reviews were pretty accurate to my final score. 72 on the Becker and 79 on the exam. There's a Google doc out there somewhere that shows the trending scores by exam. I'll see if I can locate it. Just a heads up – the Becker simulations were much easier than the actual exam. If you have the time, you may want to find another resource for simulations.

The Progress tests are definitely harder than the exam itself…If you're scoring anywhere in the 70-80 range you should be feeling great.

FYI – Just a word of warning, I'm not sure if you got the the Becker Final Exams yet – I did miserable on the second one for FAR, and the second one for BEC I did even worse on…and it freaked me out. There's been a lot of posts on here asking similar questions about if they should panic that they did bad on those (I would know – I searched for them!). Don't be discouraged if you do poorly on the Exams too – just learn from them. The second ones are absolutely harder than the exam itself – even the first ones are tough.

    Good luck!

How were the exam simulations harder? Just more journal entries or something?

Also are the becker final exam simulations comparable to the actual exam simulations?

at the end of each section, for example F3, there is a progress tests below the modules.

@kingkyle every aspect of Becker is more difficult than the real thing. The sims cover a lot of material and give away very few free points. That's the main difference in relation to sims I found between Becker and the three exams I've taken thus far.

I'm not studying for the FAR yet but I did take BEC and I do believe in the Becker bump. Put your faith into your materials and continue to move forward. I felt Becker was much harder than my exam when I took it. I haven't started testing with the new exams but the content doesn't change all that much, just some of the formatting. You can do this! We will all get through this together!

I passed FAR back in January, and Becker was MUCH harder than my actual exam.

I had some difficult SIMS, but I've heard lots of my co-workers agree in that Becker is harder than what you'll face.

I felt that for the actual exam, the MCQ's especially weren't so wordy with ten different things going on in one problem. So I flew through those much quicker than expected and had time to review them all.

I spent a few hours today doing just one progress test and didnt even finish it. There were 365 questions for one of the modules for FAR. Are these progress tests even worth it and did Becker up the questions set?

I believe Progress Tests are excellent! Either that or flashcards! My goal is both for daily review.. even 5 MCQ sets like in one of my other test banks.. I just started Becker; and I'm thankful for these; now, time for Corporation sims
