Took the test yesterday, I thought I did

      very well

with the MC. Then the Sims came and I got rocked hard.

I blame myself, I didn’t look at ANY Sims before my test. I figured as long as I knew the accounting I’d be ok. The format and what they were asking just blew me away. I’m honestly not confident on anything I answered. Left one Sim completely blank as I had NO freaking clue how to do it. I’m really hoping it’s not going to be graded.

I’m just hoping I get enough to get a 75 now.

Who’s passed and bombed the Sims?????????????

    don't lose hope yet!
I had almost similar situation for REG, and left one of the SIM's semi-blank……and guess what? I passed it with a higher score than i was expecting.
However, i did ok on MCG and most of the other sims.
So, if you got to study for next one go right ahead and don't wast time.

I will sit for FAR on Wednesday…and i am freaking out already! my biggest problem is time. I take more time than should have to answer Qs!!!

Did you have any new style SIM?
not going to any specifics, but did you have fair amount of GOV and NFP questions?

    I hope you passed!

Your story sounds identical to my FAR experience. It was my first exam and I studied adequately through each chapter 1-10. I knew the information in each chapter and I understood journal entries so I didn't bother to practice SIMs.

Test day came and multiple choice went smooth, I was feeling good. The SIMs came and I had to idea what half of them were even asking! Or how to format the answers. I was a wreck and guessed on 90% of them (no exxageration) and indeed left one blank.

I was frustrated because I put in so much time studying and knew I was going to have to wait at least two more months for a retake.

Three weeks later on score release day I find out I got a 75. That's way to close for me, and I've learned from that now. Butttt, My point is there's still a chance if you bombed sims that you can pass.

I had a similar experience with FAR. One of the sims was completely insane. I had no idea how to answer it, and left it blank.

I passed FAR with an 80.

I haven't lost all hope yet as you just never know. Mentally I'm preparing for a fail which I'm actually fine with. If I somehow manage to pass that will be great, but if I don't I won't lose any sleep as I'm expecting it. Big eye opener that's for sure. I'll be looking at Sims going forward.

Not sure which exam you just took but don't some of the SIMs get graded more stringently than others? Especially on FAR? Like, if your answer was within some kind of acceptable range, and you had most it correct, then you get almost all of the points available for the question? Some FAR SIMs are incredibly hard, and with the new DRS format, even harder. And now with the increased number of SIMs on every test, it does make for an even more difficult test – like it isn't hard enough already. Of the new SIMs, I am *guessing* that 2 of them aren't even graded – which I guess sucks if you did well on those two.

You might be pleasantly surprised and get a good score especially if you nailed the MCQ! Fingers crossed!
