Ok, so I just got another 71 on BEC. I took three sections in Q1 (FAR 71, REG 65, and now BEC 71). I can understand the REG score, it was my first attempt and I only got through half the material in 4 weeks, but the other ones, I have made a 73 on FAR and a 74 on BEC before.

I have AUD set to expire in December 2017 and now I still have three exams to pass.. two of which (FAR and BEC) I have scored so close but not enough for the elusive 75. Now I have to take all three of the remaining sections and pass them all before December and then to add to it, the new format. I feel like I really know a majority of FAR and BEC material really well. I just need to get over the hump.

I guess my question is, how would you all approach the last 3 exam windows if you had those three exams left? Now I really feel like I am backed into a corner. I just want to get these exams behind me. I am afraid of studying really hard for 8 or 10 weeks for a retake and then come up short, but I am also afraid of trying to study for 2 sections in one exam window and not give enough time to each section.

I'd say more people pass focusing on one exam for 6-8 weeks then trying to do double duty. I never cross studied for any of my test. Focused on one topic and one topic only. My shortest study period was BEC in 5 weeks, and longest was FAR about 9 weeks. Reg was about 8 weeks and AUD was 6 weeks.

Thanks for the reply. I have always focused on just one section at a time, but this time I just tried to cram 3 exams into Q1. So I ended up with about 5 weeks to retake FAR, 4 weeks to learn REG, and then 4 weeks to retake BEC.

It's totally doable. I studied for BEC Sept & Oct and took the test the beginning of November 2016. Studied November and December and took REG the beginning of January 2017. Then studied for AUD January & February and took the test the beginning of March. Now I have FAR which I am studying March, April & May since my test is the 27th of May.

I also studied for all the exams while working full time at a CPA firm. Its been brutal during busy season but you just have to stay focused, you totally got this. Just focus on one section at a time and don't rush yourself. I always make sure to leave 2 weeks to review just in case if I fall behind at least I would have a week to do my final review.

If I were you I would have done FAR + BEC in next window.You got 71 that shows you know the stuff and wouldn't gain much by enhancing the incremental knowledge.Actually bumping the incremental knowledge is challenging or can say you would end reading lot.What you need is the practice ( mock test ) and strategy to perform during exam.I assume you could have solved questions worth 4 marks with your existing knowledge .Besides the above point , BEC may not need that much time so you can mix with FAR or REG but as you mentioned you have read less REG so suggesting FAR + BEC. Last take FAR or BEC one at time ( 4-5 weeks ).

Again, thanks for all of the input. I am leaning towards trying to take FAR and BEC in Q2. I guess I will focus on MCQ's and Simulations rather than starting over on the CPA Excel lessons from beginning to end. Just start killing MCQ's and determine the weak points and then create note cards on those areas and get my MCQ scores up. Hopefully that will be enough to get me over the hump.
