How heavily should I study business law for REG? Using NINJA book… its 161 pages where as all the other 5 books are like 30-55… so i’m unsure on how to prioritize

If I recall it is just a mass of information, but you do not have to know any of it too in depth. Obviously, individual and entity tax are the main topics.

Should I just suck it up and read diligently or sorta work through it fast and focus more on the MCQ?

You definitely need to know Business Law, but honestly I found it much easier to understand quickly than tax. Don't ignore it all together as it will definitely be tested, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I think the best way to learn the Blaw stuff is just MCQ repetition.

Business Law is definitely tested, about 15% of my exam was on it. I would read through it but if you're short on time just hit the MCQs consistently. I found the business law easier to understand since it was more conceptual and less math compared to the tax portion.

    FAR - 70 - 5/30/17, 75 - 9/10/18
    REG - 68 - 8/21/17, 82 - 12/10/18
    BEC - 72 - 12/4/17, 86 - 3/5/18
    AUD - 61 - 3/4/19, 63 - 5/28/19, 77 - 8/26/19

I wouldn't ignore it. It is supposed to be 15-20% of your exam-like an insurance policy during the test-it will help score easy points and it is easier to get through than tax… I would study agency, ethics, and the UCC Article 9 (the one about sureties, etc. -I already forget!)

Contrary to most, when I took REG I got maybe 3 questions, in total, regarding BLAW/Ethics. This is no exaggeration; it was literally that small compared to the rest of the material. I got slammed with tough tax concepts and tricky questions. As everyone else has suggested, don't ignore it, but do realize it isn't the most important piece of the exam. Spend the majority of your time getting comfortable with tax! BLAW and ethics; a simple game of repeat multiple choice questions. Good luck on exam day!!

Finally... This journey is at an end! It may have been a struggle every step of the way, but in the end, the time spent was well worth it. If we go to school to become accountants, why not go for gold?
