I'm a podcast addict! My day starts w “Up First” during my 10-minute morning routine. On my way to work I usually listen to a new episode of one of the weekly shows I subscribe to:
This American Life – my absolute fave
Freakonomics – so great at showing different perspectives
Radiolab – wide range of topics
Rough Translation – this one started recently, only a few episodes are available
Revisionist History – amazing podcast but sadly only runs for ten or so episodes in the summer, just finished season 2. I listen to each episode 2-3 times, Malcolm Gladwell rocks!
Lavar Burton Reads – this one is like the Reading Rainbow for grown-ups 🙂

If you're looking for something that's like an audio book, i.e. a season with a single topic, try Serial and S-Town. The first season of Serial a few years back got me hooked on podcasts… S-Town was so good I had to listen to it twice and will probably do it again.

If you like true-crime stories, Up and Vanished is really good! Serial is my all time favorite.

Does anyone have any CPA exam motivation podcasts – specifically? Or maybe any books? I'm looking for something to listen to that would get me fired up with an “I can do this” attitude.
