This is a post to commiserate I guess….I am almost through F10 in Becker and about ready to start review? On one hand, I am so excited that this will potentially be my last test (3 others are done)…But on the other hand, the thought of getting through review and the test, the pressure of getting it done…Ugh…I had a dream my 8 year old had to take FAR, just to give you an indication of where I am mentally…:) Just going to muster all I have in me to get this done!

I'm totally relating right now. My last section is next week and I don't feel like studying at all. The only thing keeping me going is knowing that I'll have the best Christmas ever if I find out I passed on Dec 19th! 🙂 You got this!

I am taking two exams this window, and with God's grace I will be done. I just keep telling myself that if I put in the effort now, it will (hopefully) pay off and then I will never have to take this test again.

You can see the finish line, so just keep pushing and get it done!

Burnout late in the game is very common. I remember it well. Chances are you will start to gain momentum once you start reviewing and realize that you are going to pass your last section in a couple weeks.

Is it worth it? Within 3 months of passing I got a new job, making 20% more and working 15 fewer hours per week on average. In our line of work, CPA is everything.

Had to reschedule my last 2 sections due to the hurricane. Went to take one of them and was unable to take the exam due to technical difficulties at the testing center. Still haven't been able to reschedule since the site to reschedule the exam is down. Missed out on a number of potential job opportunities due to the ongoing delay and extended score release period. Yea, burnout is an understatement.

I'm with all of you. Two years in and it is a long time, one more year and I could have got a law degree instead lol. I have to take two this session (pass far and make up for lost Bec) and I keep hoping to pass this time and have the best xmas. I've made signs and taped them to my dining room wall, like “So close, just a little but more.” Hoping it helps.

I am in the same burnout boat! I rolled directly from doing an accelerated Masters in Tax program while working full time to sitting for the exams. I have given up almost every Saturday and evening to studies for the last 3 years straight and my mental state is wearing thin. I sit for FAR on this Friday and feel like I have overstudied yet will never be prepared enough! I am hoping to pass all 4 sections my first time through. Got AUD and BEC done last December and February took busy season off and began studying for FAR at the beginning of the summer had to take too many breaks due to a few deaths in the family and being in 3 weddings this summer! Trying to complete FAR and cram for REGS so that I can sit either beginning of December or super early in January!! I can not wait till I pass. So glad that others feel the same. My thoughts go out to those affected by the Hurricanes or those with kids I can't imagine going through this with those added stresses!

Thank you guys-I know I can always find a virtual shoulder to cry on-it gives me hope to go on:) @keldawg1616-yes, I have been in school since 2013 getting the needed accounting credits to sit for the exam. I have two school-aged kids, a very neglected but supportive husband and dog:) Oh, yeah and a full-time job. Good luck to us all!

Taking FAR last, eh? I, too, like to live dangerously :p

I was in your shoes about two months ago. I was through my REG book and was in MCQ/Review mode. The end was in sight, but I was beyond exhausted (mentally) and had to literally roll out of bed each morning to keep up the fight and pound through the Review phase.

Knowing the fact that REG was potentially my last exam gave me just enough motivation to go into study overdrive. I missed birthdays, virtually ignored my gf for three weeks, cranked at least 300mg of caffeine per day, and skipped the gym. It was all worth it though as I got an 87 on REG and put this beast to bed.

My advice to you is just to dig deep and focus as hard as you can, because this could be your last exam and fighting as hard as you can to get through it WILL be worth it in the end come December 22nd.

"FACT": The odds of consecutively passing all four sections of the CPA exam on the first try: 7%.

    Me: Hold my beer...

    FAR (April 2017): 75+

    BEC (May 2017): 75+

    AUD (July 2017): 75+

    REG (September 2017): 75+

@SpencerJamesCPA-yes, I guess that's an accounting definition of living dangerously-leaving FAR for last!

@anyatver – I'm with ya on the neglected family. It's become a joke in my house that my daughter (who, thankfully, is old enough to understand and/or help out/fend for herself) is so neglected because of exams. She's been super supportive, though. My husband worked second shift for a lot of my studying until earlier this year, so he wasn't really affected as much as she has been. She's been a trooper, but she's hoping she will no longer be neglected next year. I'm finally half done and can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

My test is November 17th! Ninja clock says 24 days, which is freaking me out:) I am half way through Ninja testbank, and nearly done with F10 in Becker. It's review phase, which I both love and hate! Love because it's closer to the end, and hate, because that's when my anxiety ramps up!

@anyatver I am currently on F8 and recently purchased Ninja, I'm impressed you've done half of ninja MCQs and on Becker F10. Do you do Becker MCQs and SIMs before you move on to Ninja? what is your study strategy?

@eas0014-Becker is my primary study source. I do all of the MCQ in each module until I get at least 90%, it's not really like I know it that well, clearly some of the wrong answers I remember from doing it repeatedly as I go through the material. I just panicked because of the amount of time I have for review considering the sheer volume of information, so I tried to knock out some of the Ninja as I went along. Usually, I go through Becker, and then jump into Ninja during review phase-Ninja is excellent for review! So once I am done with F10 in Becker, I plan on working through the rest of Ninja MCQ, while reviewing Becker book, my notes and flashcards and making more notes especially on stuff I got wrong. I need to go through journal entries, especially for pensions, capital leases, acquisitions, and bonds, and I plan on redoing some SIMS in Becker (mostly J/E and DRS) and doing some in Ninja-I usually do all SIMS in Ninja, but don't think that's going to happen due to time constraints.
